I just ordered a turbo kit and was looking for some info on it before it gets here, like what i should look out for and what i need that the kit is probably not going to come with and how hard it is to install?
My Kit came with:

JDM'S T3/T4 Turbocharger with 3" Filter

Turbine Turbocharger

Oil cooled only

6 blade propeler

Compressor Specs :

3" Compressor Inlet

3.000" or 76.2mm inducer

1.990"" or 50.55mm Major

Compressor .50 A.R.

Compressor 57 Trim

M24 / T4 Compressor Housing

Turbine Specs :

T3 Type Turbine

11 Blade Type

2.25" Exducer

Turbine .64 A.R.

Turbine 76 Trim

2.567 " or 65.2mm Major

2.207 " or 56.06mm Minor

Exhaust Outlet Flange with 5 bolt design

Can modified to use external or internal wastegate.

Suggested for 1.6L to 2.3L engine up to 150-400HP

You may need to modify some of the intercooler piping to make it fit right. You need bigger injectors, larger fuel pump, and a chipped or tunable ecu with a good tune to make it last. Then I'd start saving up for a decent turbo, as the ebay units are hit and miss.

Yeah, that looks like a cheapy E-Bay kit? Like 99sidude said, I'd replace the turbo with something of better quality. E-Bay turbos are notorious for blowing out their seals.

And honestly, you should have researched this better before you whipped out your credit card and hit "checkout". Why buy something and then afterwards come to a forum and ask "Hey, is this thing I just bought any good?"

The ebay turbo's are hit or miss as stated, BUT I do know of people who have rebuilt theirs with good gasketry, and they are G2G thus far.

well turbo kit was installed and the car ran a 13.8 at track on first run and ran a 29 second run because it blew the motor somewhere around the 8th. i'm just going to scrap this project and put a h22 in the car and call it a day

H22 sounds like a good idea...

sounds like you didn't have it tuned well. or you didn't check the engine before adding more power.
