Last night I tried to go to bed at 10, ended up being awake until about 1-1:30. I couldn't sleep because all I could hear were TVs going on and on. I could hear cops on one, and some random talking on another. Both BDN and my other roommate have been falling asleep with their TVs on. lol It's usually no big deal, I do it too in my room.
The difference is the tv in my room has an energy setting so I can dim the screen down, or turn it completely off and still listen to the show. Last night was different though, both of them had theirs on REALLY loud, lately neither of them will bother to turn it down before they pass out, and I don't know how they can sleep with it on like that. When I finally got bored of trying to sleep with mine on, I flipped it off then all I could hear were theirs.
After a half hour of trying to ignore them (which means I'm not relaxing, I'm trying to conciously not hear them) I went downstairs and grabbed my fios remote and turned off my roommates verizon box... then I wandered backupstairs, stuck the remote on the floor next to BDNs door and after 4 tries got his verizon box to shut off too. I didn't think that'd work, but it did. Within 10 minutes of listening to the peace and quiet I finally got to sleep. lol
It never ever used to bother me before, but I'd moved the cats litter box to the basement so I have to sleep with my door cracked open now and my house does not absorb noise very well.
I'm sure brian was confused as to why his tv was turned off when he woke up this morning. lol Can't wait to ask him about it.
