ok so i know its possible, im just wondering if anyone knows what kind of issues i might run into when doing the swap from a 5 speed B18A1 into an auto 1990 hatch. reason im asking is that i might pick up a 1991 integra pretty cheap and might try to install the whole drivetrain into my hatch.

thanks in advance

does ur hatch have a b18 already? if not u gonna need to change the ecu n wiring harness (u may already kno this) . the pedals are hell to change out to from auto to 5 speed. other than that it should all go in smoothly. i think but not sure u may have to change motor mounts.. that is if ur hatch dont already have the b18 in it .. good luck man hope this helps..

Not a hard swap if you have an Si, not that hard with the DX either (just some extra wiring) Search, youll com up with more than enough answers.

how yas doin lads nd lasses im jst after buyin a old 91 hatch ef and want to put a b18a into her,any suggestions or tips for me please nd tanks as its my first transplant cheers marko

youll need to pull the dash out to get the pedals installed. if your going from dpfi to mpfi youll need a resister box for the injectors. make sure that all your electrical shit matched your ecu. your shift linkage has to be shortened. youll need swap mounts and a swap harness

also in converting from auto to manual have to eliminate nuetral safety switch under the carpet behind the shifter. its a two wire plug that needs to be jumped

wonder how many ef youve work on it took me 5 min to swap the manual pedal with auto pedals

the main relay for the dx, if it has never been swapped to multipoint before, is designed to control only 2 dualpoint injectors.

The ECU controls the injectors, not the relay.

the main relay in all of the 88-91 CRX/Civic cars (DPFI or MPFI) is the same - Honda part no. 39400-SH3-003

k so i had to swap out my relay because my car wouldnt start after the swap. swapped relays and fired right up

sunds like your relay went bad during the swap; if the part numbers are the same for these cars then the realy had to be bad if replacing it solved the problem, i'll try it without changing the relay and hope it goes ok.
