Yea, I don't come around much anymore. But I figured I would post it to see thoughts... And I just looked for relevant titles. My bad.

Anyways, yea it was just updated today. But it is weird when this type of news personally affects me.

I don't really see how it is illegal wiretapping. I mean you are in a public space. It is an interstate after all. There is no reasonable expectation to privacy.

i would fight the fuck out of it.
then sue the police department.
the cop should have identified himself first and foremost before demanding him to get off the bike.
this kind of shit happens all the time, except usually, when somebody gets out of their car and approaches like that, somebody is about to lose their bike.

they are trying to slam this guy to make him out to be a felon when they know that their officer was in the wrong. they are just trying to do what they can to make him wrong and them right.

got to love our government.

But under Maryland law, recording the audio of your conversation with someone without their consent can land you in jail for up to five years.

so i am assuming MD cops dont have mic'd dash cameras in their cruisers??

well apparently it should be the first place you hide a camera.
seems they didnt notice it.
maybe drug runners should start putting the drugs on top of their head too.
bet the cops dont notice that either.

This guy must not have a very good lawyer, I can't believe they are justifying this. Things like this just get worse and worse.

it only said that they asked if they were being recorded, at that time, they probably werent.
im assuming he turned it off when he took his helmet off.
in which case, he wouldnt have been lying.

they didnt ask if he had recorded them, but if he was currently recording them. and none of that was on the vid. so it may not have been on.

I think it should be mandatory for cops to be recorded as they perform their duties. The word of a cop shouldn't be given more credibility than a citizen.
