So I got this crx with a z6 in it, and I am working on getting the wire harness sent in and everything soon. But the person I got it from says that his mechanic told him it needs a body harness, then when the ecu is plugged up and everything it will run. Well I am not sure what they mean by body harness, because It has all light wiring, front and back, it has the fuse box, all the wiring from there inside and out, all the dash wiring for cluster and everything. It doesn't seem to miss anything, so is there something else considered a body harness?
The only thing it does not have on it it the positive battery terminal, but I have that and it just goes to the alternator and shit anyway so its not my problem.

If you could please explain anything else, I will appreciate it.

Honestly, the car sounds hacked up by some incompetent "mechanics." Why did they swap harnesses? That's not needed. Any good tech or mechanic knows this. They just complicated the swap more...

Anyway, i'm assuming they tried using the entire obd1 z6 engine harness but the stock dash harness and interior/body harness for the CRX is still intact. Correct?

If I am correct, the easiest way to get this car up and running is to get the stock CRX engine harness and modify it to fit your needs. You need to get it for your model because the shock tower plugs differ between the HF, DX, and Si. HF and Si might be the same but i'm not 100% positive. If your car is a DX, get the DX harness, wire in the MPFI, Vtec, 4-wire o2, ect...

To run the z6 ECU, just get a obd0 -> obd1 jumper harness.

If you can't do the wiring yourself, hit up Rywire. Tell them what your set up is and they'll build the harness for you. If you do the wiring yourself though, you'll save a shit load of money... Goodluck...

Well no they didn't try to swap harnesses, they just said it was missing a body harness, but as far as I know it's not. As for the whole rywire deal, that's what I am doing, I just have to get a new z6 harness. Someone tried making one for it for the previous owner but its such a shit job and is missing some plugs so it isn't worth it. But yea, the original plugs for the dx engine are still there, and I have the ecu and jumper, as well as the 4 wire 02 and all that.

Then you should just wire in the 4 point injection yourself, get the distributor adapter harness as well, and you should be good to go :)

But if you got the money to go through rywire, then by all means, do it :) Hope you get your car running soon.

I would do it myself but I am not to sure on how to do it, don't want to risk anything you know. But hey thanks man, and when I get it running ill be sure to post it.
