Hi guys,
my names mark i'm new to the site.
I bought an import ek4 sir a few weeks back(from ireland).
She has an aem v2, jasma manifold, ek9 system and de-cat.

Problem is she's not quick enough :)

I can get my hands on b16b and b18 type-r cams and a teg type-r intake mani,

My question is which cams do i use and which cam gear??
Do i use my original b16a cam gear or what ??

b16a cam gear will work.. and either set of cams is good.. they're basically the same, but i'd go w/ the b16b cams

I'd run an Adjsutable Cam Gear and get a quick dyno tune after the cams and gears are installed. You should also look into new valve springs if you plan on reving about stock rev limit. Plus LMA's but it gets expensive...I just did it this spring. But you could get 15whp with the IM cams/gears/springs/socketed-chipped ECU/decent Dyno-Tune

Depends on which year ITR cams.. I think 00+ ITR cams are same spec as B16B cams, but the earlier ITR cams have 3degrees less intake duration.

00/01 ITR's are different then CTR's...not much but they are NOT identical. Well...the intake cams are different....exhaust are the same.

type r cams. adjustable cam gears are best and if your gonna replace them why not just get adjustable ones from the begining? just to make it easier. also Skunk2 valvetrain would treat ya right. retainers/springs and a tune n your good to go.

Nope..

Integra Type-R(Through 1999 Spec)
Int-240 dur. / 11.5mm lift
Exh-235 dur. / 10.5mm lift

Civic Type-R And Integra Type-R(Integra Type R 2000/01 Spec)
Int-243 dur. / 11.5mm lift
Exh-235 dur. / 10.5mm lift

the 00/01 b18cR cams have the same specs both intake and exhaust as the b16b.. its the 99 and under has the different ones..

**edit**

what he said^^^

Okay boys....here we go again....the intake camshafts ARE different. They even have different part numbers.
Honda does not come up with different part numbers to express identical things....thats just silly. They even look different on the ends

CTR cam part number
14111-PCT-000

00/01 ITR part number
14111-P73-J01

00+ itr intake cam (P73): 7.365mm lift, 191.52 degrees duration
CTR intake cam (PCT): 7.365mm lift, 193.45 degrees duration

As you can see...its the VTEC lobe on the Intakes that are differnt. Its not the lift...its the duration....the ramp of the lobe.

eg6sir....you know this from my thread where EVERYONE told me I was wrong until "Some Guy" who actually works for Honda (no not a dealership) gave us the specs I just provided. So they are different and too many people online claim they are the same. There are terribly close but not identical.
