I just got through having a H22a swapped into my 91 accord. We also did a 5 speed swap and the issue we are having is that the shifter cables are a few inches too short. We went with a 91 f22 tranny being I do alot of highway driving. The cables we are using are from a 92 accord and the same with the shifter. we tried some CD5 cables but came up with the same issue.....can anyone help please? Do I have to have prelude cables and shifter rather than the CB7 ones???? (heard they were a lil longer)

sounds like you got the motor in there wrong, the linkage should fit fine

ok well I got the cable issue done...however, ....the H22 is running really rough and Very rich. The guy that did the engine thinks someone put f22 injectors in it....(which would explain alot), however, if that isn't the case....do you have any ideas what it could be? It almost sounds like it is running on 3 cyls or something.....it still has a little of the cheap gas that was in it when my f22 died.( i know that is bad for a high compression H22)...and one last thing, After running it for a lil bit I noticed that the cat was glowing red. ( messed up to have this many issues with my new engine huh). Where should I start lol....

you have a clogged cat or something. the cat should not get that hot under normal running conditions. if it has f22 injectors in it, it will be running lean not rich.

what ecu are you running, and check to make sure all 4 pistons are firing

I'm running a p13....got that all figured out now. The guy that installed the engine had the distributor firing in wrong order which fouled out 2 new plugs....

HOWEVER all of a sudden my key wont come out of the ignition. It WAS an auto and swapped to a 5 speed. I got frustrated when I couldnt get my key out and just disconnected the positive from the batter so I wouldn't kill it and when I did that I heard a click. I went back to my key and it came out fine.....tried it again and same procedure had to be done to get the key out....any suggestions?

buy a new switch lol, 25 bucks autozone

1.) Next time, start your own thread please. There's no need to butt in on somebody else's question.

2.) The H22 is your only choice. The V6 is MAYBE do-able, but it would be a first-of-it's-kind, totally custom type of thing. The 90-93 Accords never came with a V6, so the bay is not set up for it.

Like I said, if you have more questions you should start your own thread. Just go into the forum where you want to place your thread and click the "New Thread" button at the top left...
