Last night around 6:30 I'd went out to have a cigarette, well my cousins jack russel (named Ginger) and my two tabs like to go out on the porch with me.

As I'm trying to shut the door my cousins stupid fucking dog takes off again across the yard to the people next door edging the sidewalk.

This attracts the attention of this same neighbors pit bull (I think he's a pit, but not sure). He's always been a really great dog, he lets you pet him and he's never growled at any of us.

Last night was different, he trots over because of my cousins dog onto my driveway and spots the cats on the porch and bee lines straight for them.

I didn't realize it as I was going after Ginger. I look back and Sonatra (neighbors dog) is up on the porch going after Sammy. I see the poor cat leap from the floor to about 15 feet in the air, bounce off the window and come down behind Sonatra. At that point, Eddie takes off into the front yard by my sidewalk and then jets around the side of the house along with Sammy.

I say fuck Ginger, and go after Eddie, I end up chasing him to my neighbors front door on the other side and grab him, walk him back to my house and lock him in the house. Walking by the tree at my porch, I spot sammy sitting there scared shitless.

In hindsight I should have gone after Sammy first, he's slower, and less aggressive along with not having a very loud meow. He is barely audible even if you're standing right next to him. Eddie on the other hand is really loud and you can hear him from anywhere in the house if he can't find me. If I'd gone after Sammy, I could have gotten him in and if I lost Eddie, he would make it apparent that he was on the porch trying to get in.

At this point my neighbor had grabbed Sonatra and put him inside, and when I turned around and went back to where I last saw Sammy, he's not there. He's nowhere, I canvased about a 1/4 mile of my house and talked to several different neighbors I never talked to before, even went through a few gardens, asked the people behind me if I could look in their garage, etc.

By 9:45 it'd gotten dark and I couldn't see anymore so I had to go inside.

I slept, for the most part, on my chair last night after putting some food and water out on the porch. I still don't know where he's at, it's been 14 hours. This fucking sucks.

Dude that sucks, I hope you find Sammy. Try looking around your neighborhood where there are those little place any where sheds that some people buy. Their lifted off the ground enough where cats can get in there and not dogs. Usually cats chill under those things.

first off.. your neighbors pit bull should be on a leash or tied out when in the front yard.. i dont care how friendly it is, one day its gonna turn into a news story that will eventually effect everyone with the breed.. same w/ Ginger.. dogs need to be leashed at all times when not in the house or enclosed backyard

sonatra usually is leashed up, last was a fluke i guess.

its on track to hit 90 today and sammy has some chub a thick coat of fur. i even went to the aspca and animal care & control, and left a description, my name & number at the local pet hospital. he came back last time he was left out when my buddy left my door open and i didnt realize he was missing until 9 am the next day, but so far i havent seen him anywhere.

^ My sentence structure sucks when I'm posting from my phone.

Sammy is probably scared shitless somewhere.. or some little girl found him and said "mommy, can i have a kitty?"

Sammy is the cat on top and Eddie is the cat in the cat carrier with cat food...lol. this ic was taken after James got them.

i wish Sammy would come home. i miss him too. hes my little homie.

come home Sammy. we miss ya buddy :(

the cat doesn't have a tag on it?

this is my downfall. my stupid ass got lazy and never got to it, add to that a hectic work schedule and now this happened. ive been saving for some collars with their and my name, and number on it but 50 each is a killer for my budget at the moment.

the only time theyre ever outside is with me and they never were allowed off the porch. i never expected sonatra to see them and go after them like he did. he never has before. stupid fucking cigarettes. i can only hope that someone found him and got him out of the heat and i will get a call from either of the 3 shelters around here tomorrow. if someone grabbed him and wants to keep him id rather that than he meets his fate at 13 months old.

i just dont like the uncertainty of this. the pic bdn posted is from the day i brought them home, 8-14-09.

That sucks..

50 each!? where hell are you looking? You can get the tags done for like $3 at petsmart.

maybe he means legal tags? like registered by the town?
