I have a 95 Civic coupe. I'm wanting to do a 1.6 Type-R swap. Is it worth it or should I just get the B16A2? Eventually, about a year from now, I'm going to do an LS V-Tec turbo, So, which head would be better, and until then, which engine would be better?

Urmmm...if your ultimate goal is to have an LS/VTEC, then why waste any money on a temporary motor? There's no shortage of LS engines and VTEC heads being sold. Just start putting your LS/VTEC together now.

As for which head is better, that depends on what you're planning to do to the head. If you're going to leave it stock, then obviously a Type R head is better. If you plan to rework it (cams, valvetrain, machine work, etc.) then just buy whatever you can get for the cheapest price...

Mainly bc I'm joining the marines and I may not be able to get it done. And the Type-R head is impossible to find here. My D15B Vtec trans went out. and the motor is acting wicked weird. I need a quick fix to last me untill I have the money to have the motor built. So I found a B16b For 3,000 with complete motor lsd trans and ecu.
