I've got a jammed thumb, twisted ankle, and a bruise on my hip. Bike has a couple scratches, but it'll buff out. Almost three years on the street, and my first wreck. Kinda sucks. I'll live.

DOH! were you riding to my house?

Nah, this happened Saturday morning, about 10:30. I went grocery shopping, then dropped off the food and took a ride because it was so nice out.

Some pickup went across the center line in a curve and I had to go wide. It sucked.

Sucks since you're at fault I bet.
Glad you had your gear on, too bad you missed a fun day!

The jacket and pants have GP-style hard armor in them. I don't have any joint pain besides the ankle. If anyone is doubting gear, don't. Spend every bit of time you can on gear research.

Yeah, I wouldn't have much skin had I not been wearing it.

"Some pickup went across the center line in a curve and I had to go wide"

Happens on the country roads around here every minute of every day - the roads are narrow glorified footpaths and the trucks and SUVs are not "well-piloted" - people reported killed here every day on motos and on plain old bicycles. I'd never ride around here. I'll take the prairies of the Midwest where you can see 20 miles in 360.

Shit, glad you're ok. I've been skipping out on my jacket when going to class lately, but it's just so fucking hot. It's no excuse and news like this makes me wanna dip into the savings and get some nice leathers.

here are what your options are really:

you can deal with being a little sweaty

maybe consider grabbing some "DryTec" type shirts... that should pretty much take care of the whole wet shirt thing

or....

you can deal with road rash

its up to you really.... me personally, id opt for sweating little... but some people have a fetish for Bacitracin.... :shrug2:

shitty tattoo... looks to be the head of some type of animal... im guessing of either a bear or a panther

unfortunately he didnt succeed at removing it

not sure on that video but it really looks alot like the dragon at deals gap, a very curvy awesome but dangerous road. i went there a few years ago and it was awesome but some of the riders that was there didnt really respect some the other ones that ws there...

it does look like the dragon

the dragon was awesome i recommend riding it. i went there a few years back they have photographers around some of the curves and u can order pics from them.. very nice scenery too...

Yeah, it's no secret I'm a dipshit when skipping out on gear. I wore my mesh today and showed up to class soaked. No mackin' was done today, but I guess it keeps the crazy 18 year olds away lol.
