hi i have a d15b2 and a y7 head what els can i do to get a 10 to at less 12 second car i have a crx dx 90 monye realy ant a prob but i woud like to know the cheapest and i would like to keep my rex street legal

I really doubt that you're going to build a 10 second CR-X that's still street legal. Just FYI, "The Fast and the Furious" isn't exactly a good source of factual information.

You could maybe get into the 12s with a H22 or K-series swap and some good driving. Or you could look into building your D-series for boost...
 
rebuild internals, and boost in between 8-12 lbs, can get you to high 12's. but 10's.... your looking at a k series and then some.... and a huge bottomless wallet.

stock b2 pistons,rods,and block
arp head studs
stock y7 head
aem cam gear
ssac turbo manifold
38mm wastegate
holset h1c @ 11 psi
3''down pipe
2''-2.25'' charge pipes
no intercooler
stock z6 throttel body and intanke manifold chrome

and said this should run 12 seconds and should never blow
 
you're gonna have to be pretty lucky to hit 12's with that engine combo. the max the stock rods are good for is about 200-220hp, and you're going to need every bit of that if you want to come near a 12 second pass.

you and your friend both have a lot to learn before you'll build a car to run even 12 second passes.
no intercooler? why not?
why at EXACTLY 11psi?
doesnt your friend know that no two engines are exactly alike, even stock for stock?
that becomes even more true when you do a head swap, engine build, etc.


imo, you should look into a B-Series swap and work from there. you just dont have the knowledge base to go building a turbocharged engine (properly).

k swap with 200 shot......and a lot of vtec juice!

Seriously, your gonna need a lot of work done to achieve 10's Its not only about the engine, your talking about a nice tranny, suspension, slicks, and great driving.

you want 12's? get yourself a B20 vtec and boost its brains out! make sure you tune on race gas like 110 or better.
