was at a job earlier, my dad calls and says hold off. so i left and came to meijer to take a dump. as im sittin there an amish guy starts to wash his hands... and starts counting 1-12 in quick succession. he does this six times, then goes to dry his hands and starts counting 1-12, again, six times. turns around to wash his hands and then dry his hands doing it again. then he wanders to the other side of the restroom, then back and leaves.

a few minutes later he comes back in the restroom and does it again, and leaves again.

Still, a few minutes later and hes back in there again doing the same thing, only hed washed and dried his hands three times.

ive never experienced any ocd form first hand like this. i wonder if he ever gets anything done during the day.

my old lady counts to 8
there's some reality show on tv about trying to cure people ocd issues

thats about all i have on it

yeah ive watched a few minutes of that show, but ive never seen it first hand like this.

My gf has OCD. I make fun of her on a daily basis for the stupid things she does.

Examples:
when a light switch is turned on, it has to make a noise. When turning it off the switch must be silent.
The tv (or anything with a volume level adjust) cannot be on an odd number volume level, except multiples of 5 and the number 9.
She can't kiss me a number of times that is an odd number. Like if I kiss her 3 times, she has to do it again.

There's more that I can't think of, and some I don't even know about cause she's embarassed to tell me. I find it all very amusing.

Is it OCD that whenever I see a coilcord on a telephone thats all wrapped around itself I pull it out of the handset and straighten it so it's not wrapped around itself? If so, my damn job gave me a mild form of OCD.

everybody has certain things they are ocd about. some are obviously worse than others.

me, my money in my wallet must be situated correctly.

20's in the back => 1's in the front, all facing the same direction.

It's not so much an ocd thing as it is i want to know quickly how much money i have at any given time. If i have to sift through 10 singles to see if i have a 20 in there, it's a pain in the ass.

phone cords, same thing... you won't lose sleep over it being twisted... it's just annoying when it comes time to stretch the cord out, etc.

Thats why I don't like to carry cash, I end up just stuffing everything in there then I have to go back through it. Debit Card FTW.

i'm the same way with the money
when i get change i usually just fold it over and put it in the back, but then later i will straighten it all out
i dont want to mistake bills for a lower denomination , and when money is bunched up you have a better chance of dropping it

my old lady does the wash 8 times thing
rinses each hand 4 times each in fast succession, probably scrubs them the same way in 8's
volume must be an even number
the car windows have to be down the exact same amount on each side
trying to think of more things, but thats it for now

im like B...lowest amount for the bill is in the front, highest in the back..then its folded in half..and put in the wallet with the fold down..in the middle piece of the folded wallet..
and the tv volume i always put it either 5,10,15,20,25...i cant do like 17 or 26...annoys the piss out of me..

The money thing you guys are talking about is just an organization preference and NOT OCD. People with OCD have bad anxiety if they don't do whatever it is they do. They can't think about anything else until it's done.

I do this, I can't say thats OCD, I just think it looks cool. Most of the time I don't even roll down the passenger window at all. Also, I couldn't tell you the last time I even opened the sunroof on my car. I just hate wind in my face.

whats the point in counting when its done at 2 every time? :D

from that dudes stand point...

he's prolly shoveled 12 yards of cow shit the first time, then changed three diapers, then helped 4 leper nun's onto a taxi, nursed 6 cows by bottle feeding, had two mis-carriages...and ate at McDonald's where they hired 3 inmates and 4 retards....

you'd be washing your hands in multiple of 12 too....

poor guy....:(

haha, I put my money in my wallet, in order, facing the same direction. Drives my wife crazy.

I also have to have my windows rolled down at exactly the same height.. lmao
