D16A ino a 1994 prelude?

I have a D16A engine complete with gearbox, axles, electric and all that stuff to get it running and i am wondering if there's any possibility to fit that into the engine bay of a 1994 prelude without any major hassle?

For one it could fit yea but would take exstenive modifications to make it fit, and why would you put a d series into a f/h series chassis and in such a heavy car it would be like expecting a 91 civic to tow a yat it's just not smart and shouldn't be done

I know it sounds silly but i live in iceland and these engines arent exactly easy to get around here but i have this engine from a '94 civic hatch and i can get this prelude rolling chassis for dirt cheap so it just got me thinking..

gut the prelude and boost the d. then you might be able to get off the line about as quick as that civic when it came off the showroom floor with full interior.

To answer this, I would say pretty much exactly this...

...and I would also say that not everyone uses their Honda as a project. Some people just want them to daily drive, so a gutted car is not really a practical solution. Putting the D16 into the Prelude is just not an idea that should be given any consideration...

just an opinion. i d/d a sedan with a bare minimum of interior parts and a b18b under the hood. just cause its gutted doesnt mean i dont enjoy it everyday. also wasnt sayin it would be practical. he wanted an opinion so i gave him one.

Well, if you personally don't mind driving a gutted car, then that's great. I was just pointing out that not everyone would care to daily drive a gutted car though. You offered your opinion, and I offered mine. Just wanted him to see both sides of the coin, ya know?
