The O2 sensor is plugged into the header but I simply can't find a plug that comes from the harness that will match up. The car is a 96 CX with a p28 and a jumper harness. Right now i'm doing about 16 MPG and guessing that this is the culprit. How can I find the plug from the harness? The O2 sensor that is bolted up to the header is a 4 wire o2 sensor. Also, there is 1 cable that is a 2 wire (green and black) that is coming from the harness but it is cut. and another clip but it looks like a 3 pin. Any help would be greatly appreciated, my gas mileage is really suffering.

That green an black wire is for vapor can i bet.

Wire the O2 right to the ecu. Do a google search ( How to wire o2 sensor to ecu ) something like that... its very easy just remember not to cut any power or grounds just splice them. .:FFS TechNet : OBD1 ECU Pin out Schematics :.

" Right now i'm doing about 16 MPG and guessing that this is the culprit " Your foot is the culprit sir.

Is your ecu obd2 or obd1? You may need another wiring diagram. And that 3 wire senor could be tps, map, vss do you have any codes ? We cant help you without any codes.

its a p28 so i'm guessing obd1, it is obd1 by the looks of it, since it has a jumper harness and my car is obd2.

Did you do a wiring harness swap? If it still the stock harness, then it will be a grey four wire square plug with the wire colors: Green, White, White/black, and Black/Yellow going into it. this is the plug for the primary o2 sensor atleast. I'm not going to crawl under my car today to check the secondary plug.

I really only need to o2 primary plug location, I'm guessing its a stock harness because theres a jumper harness going into the ecu. I myself didn't do the swap. In what area of the car is that female 4 wire plug? I've searched everywhere.
