Since 2008 my vehicle has sat at Stafford Fabrication to have some custom automotive fabrication work done to the frame and engine suspension ects. Mike Stafford gladly accepted the job and during the course of the friendship I have had with Mr. Stafford I have tried to stay in constant communication with him for the updates to work progress to my car as well as updates as to when I will be able to make anther payment for parts and service. Mike Stafford has over that course of 21 months has managed to do minimal work to my car and due to storage the car was subjected to damage from a gate at the rear of his shop that had barbed wire hanging from the fencing rubbing up against my car, vandalism, theft of my personal equipment and parts supplied to complete the job order. Partial work completed to the car was paid in cash of 5700.00 cash with a receipt and 2500.00 dollars in exchange for a motor swap including a freshly rebuilt b16a block, b16a head, distributer, fuel injectors, fuel rail with pleasure regulator, pm6 Honda vtec ecu, and secondary obd 1 b16a1 intake manifold and an Integra LS transmission. I supplied Mike Stafford with parts that were stolen from his shop after he was arrested for minor offenses by his shop mechanics and friends who he allowed custody of a key to his shop when he wasn’t there to protect the precious materials that customers had supplied. Among these parts from my vehicle 1992 Honda Civic Hatchback I lost:

Earls 13 row Fuel Cooler, Aeromotive A1000 Fuel Pump, Aeromotive Fuel Preasure Gauge 0 to 100 psi, Aeromotive A13109 Fuel Preasure Regulator, -8 AN Fuel Line 15 FT, P28 Honda VTEC ECU, Earls -4 AN Clutch Slave Cylinder Braded Line, -4 AN Earls Rear Brake Lines, and a 1995 B18B1 LS Integra Manual Transmission, TD-44U OBD1 Honda Distributer, MSD 8.5mm Sparkplug Wires, NGK V power Spark Plugs all Stolen.

Parts That Stafford was supposed to Supply that were Paid for were:
T66 Turbo, Tial Waste gate 38mm, Custom Turbo Intercooler, 1000 CC Injectors low impedance Saturate, Custom Intercooler Piping, Hondata S300 ECU With the boost control option, Turbonetics Godzilla Blow off valve.

To my knowledge Mike Stafford is still in jail and will be there for the next 3 or 5 weeks awaiting another arraignment for bail. I have recovered my damaged car and what remained of my car parts and equipment except for the things mentioned in the above paragraph. I want to sue for the total cost of the Fabrication work, Pain and suffrage, and lost and stolen parts while in his custody. His families now since he has been detained are closing his shop down desperately calling all the registered owners of the cars still awaiting owners in the shop. Anthony Stafford has been very cooperative in getting me to my car to get my parts and pick up the shambles of his father’s professional life while he’s away but it does not excuse the fact that peoples parts are being stolen by any and everyone who walks in while he is away. Mike Stafford has single handedly destroyed 8 years of planning, saving, and time for me with my project. Just want to get the money back that I have spent with his business. Mike if your reading this, I want my money back and I refuse to do buisness with or allow for any of my fellow racers to associate themselves with the likes of your company.

Bad fab shop in Lancaster CA

Stafford is out of jail now but after a visit from the BAR or Bereau of Automotive Repair he finally decided to start answering his pone and talking to me. Even since then 2 weeks ago since I last talked to him he has reverted back to his ways of dodging us and not returning our phone calls or messages. Horrible place to do buisness with. He doesnt keep his customers very happy or up to date on their projects and from what I hear from other members who have cars there that he will routinely remove parts from other peoples cars and parts bins to complete other cars that he is working on. That is just bad for buisness. I have lost 3800 dollars worth of parts and 5700 dollars cash into his shop not to mension the body damage from having my car out in the sun baking my carbon fiber hood, mirrors, trunk, and roof spoiler. I dont think it would be a good idea to take my vehical back to his shop and I think all of you should steer clear also. He make promise after promise but always falls short of the goal, victory or whatever you wanna call it. I have hadf a horrible expereince at Stafford Fabrication in Lancaster CA, and for all of you who are reviewing this who have dealt with fabricators, you know what I mean. He removed parts from my car to complete someone elses shit is all I can assume. I hope for the best but always expect the worst. Any idea's guys?

call the better business bureau. see if he has a business license. keep all records and receipts. get an attorney in line in case he doesn't finish up. i would be there every day trying to see when my car would be done.

if he is still operating business and doesn't pay you back, get the place shut down and sue him.

:werd: It's near impossible to find a reputable shop to work on Honda's these days. I've heard bad things about most of the shops in my area. It's too bad that most of the people that are involved with Honda's are nothing but thieves.

I remember this guy's name from a few years back. He hit the scene around here (Lancaster/Palmdale) with some pretty fast cars. One in particular was a black srt-4, IIRC.

It's been so long I don't remember half these people's faces.

Hit up Garage Works over on Division and Ave J4 (or it may be J6) maybe the guys over there heard something about Mike's former mechanics who may have some of your stuff or maybe even a few of those guys went to Garage Works trying to sell your stuff. If they haven't heard or seen anything, they could possibly help you out with finishing up your project.

I don't vouche for them though. I haven't really heard anything bad about them. It's just that i've never done business with them.

Either way, goodluck...

Okay Stafford Got out of jail about 2 months ago and was contacted by Robert Chavez of the Bureau of Automotive Repair about my situation. Mike Stafford contacted me immediately angry about the fact that I contacted the authorities and then asked for more time. I gave Stafford about 3 weeks then made the attempt to contact him every day. Then I contacted Mr. Chavez who said that he was meeting with Stafford and would let me know what happenes. Mike Stafford and Stafford Fabrication joined the registration of the BAR and contacted me letting me know that he was going to be finishing my ca and that he just needed to clean some other parts out of his shop and clear up some other loose ends. After another week of allowing Stafford to play around with the lies and avoid my phone calls I began calling again. Stafford had made an arangment with the BAR that he would make another agreement with me and a contract for my car now to include damages the the body of the car, lost parts and stolen parts from my vehical by his associates remaining in the shop after his incarceration. I was contacted once by Stafford who simply said '" We need to Square up' What are you missing from the car and what did you take with you"? After some time in a debate between myself and Stafford it was determined that some friends Stafford allowed access to his shop had removed my intercooler, Stafford said was completely built and assembled to my car the intercooler piping, Turbonetics Godzilla BOV, Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump, TD-44U Honda distributer, NGK V Power spark plugs, 8.5mm MSD Spark plug wires, and 3 inch Downpipe for the T66 Turbocharger." Stafford asked if he could go and call me back in a couple of hours and ask around to find out which one of his friends had stolen these items, so I gave him that time. Stafford didnt call back that night as he said he would so I contacted him several times till he finally sent me a text message stating 6/14/2010 I have to reorder new Intercooler and piping kit. The next day I made contact with Stafford who told me of his budy alowing some outsider into his shop who stole alott of things from my car and the build I was doing and was very sorry for my trouble but wanted to do better and make the deal happen righting all the wrongs he had allowed to happen on 6/15/2010. Stafford made the agreement that he would be coming to get my car and complete it on Friday last week on the 6/25/2010 and never showed, called, or text me back to notify me of any changes to the plan and dispite numerous attempts to contact him and resolve that matter reguardless of the warnings by Robert Chavez of the bureau of automotive repair to re-negotiate a deal with me, and my consistent attempts to contact Mike Stafford about these broken arrangements he has yet to complete a word of what he says he would do. My car ins in shambles and no other Fabrication shop will work on it because they say they don't know where he was going with it and don't know where to begin. I lost my car, thousands of dollars in lost parts and thousands of dollars in body damages not to mention the incomplete car and fabrication work promised after I paid in full to Stafford in the beginning.

As far as I know and by the instruction of the BAR, Stafford Fabrication was forced to join the BAR by my report against them and yes he is still open. He delibretly ignores my phone calls and then lies about attempting to call me back. I have consulted lawyers and non of tehm want to go after him. Guess im on my own. It should be pretty cut and dry though. I have madd pics to back this shit up eitherway. His is done from whatever angle you look at. HE owes me a new car and all the lost and stolen parts. 5700 dollars for a turbo kit is over the top full race type shit and should have came with a complementary blow job at that. but like I said to him in text message," We will see who's laughing when this is all done and over with"!

A friend of mine picked up one with a GSR in it. He always ends up changing his mind about what cars he wants to keep so i'll ask him if he wants to sell it lol.

i'm sure he will.. he posts it in every thread imaginable

exactly. If the shoe was on the other foot you would do exactly the same thing. I love the Scene and I love my Honda. I would think that you would want someone to warn you and keep you up to date on the events that down another potential racer or innovation from the building of these cars. There isnt verry many of us left. Remember that before you start runnin your ungratefull ass mouth

having a thread about it is fine.. but when you start copying and pasting shit all over the board, thats when a line is drawn.. this thread is specific for it.. the others arent, lets leave it that way... if you have a problem w/ that system, you're free to leave at any time
