Our team won first round of the playoffs last night so this means traveling to Iowa for our next game which is this weekend. Also the championship is in Vegas on July 31st so looking for then as well.

I havent flown in atleast 5 years so Im not too familiar with pricing and where to shop around for the best deals. I did a search for cheap airline tickets and I found a deal to fly Southwest from DFW to Iowa for this weekend. 2 Adults round trip $466.20. Deal or no deal? I havent checked flying out of DFW yet but I think DLF may be cheaper.

Anyone have suggestions or a better place to shop for tickets?

expedia, orbitz.. kayak..

who is this "our team" you speak of?

Ive been looking and doing my research and seems like almost going straight through southwest is cheaper. I just did the Vegas trip estimate on there and it said Round trip 2 adults departing on July 28th and Returning Aug. 3rd will be $825 with tax etc.

The prices for kayak, travelocity, orbitz... I havent found anything better than $511/per passenger and that was when I was searching for effin' Iowa. I dont think that Iowa is that great, I might just fly solo and save the extra cash for Vegas trip if thats the case.

I havnt flown for not business related reasons for a long time so I'm am not sure on pricing and such sorry. But a big congrats to you and the team making it to the playoffs!

I would write down the prices and delete your cookies and what not after already visiting the sites. Idk if it was coincidence, but I've had a ticket price raise three different times on the same day after viewing it over and over. I've heard nothing more than a rumor about it, but I just play it safe now.

i bought my tickets to vegas 2 weeks out, cost (access tca) 450 bucks round trip 1 person. i used expedia.

That is very interesting, I wonder how true this is.

I have searched and searched the best price I have found is through priceline. Not bad for what I have been seeing. I priced out a 5nights at the Aria and flight for $686/person. Looks like the Aria is in the middle of the strip.
Anyone else have recommendations for hotel stays and specific shows/clubs to see. I think I am going to take the advice from Turbo's Vegas thread and try and do a little of each.

As far as doing a flight for Iowa I think it might be cheaper to rent a 15 passenger van and split the cost with some of the girls. However that is a lot of women to be riding together for 12hours. But it comes out to be about $100/person with rental of the van and also a trailer to put all of our gear in. We have a team coach bus but not everyone is a fan of riding on it. There are just over 50 girls on the team.

Thank you for the congrats! We are pretty excited. I also asked the same question whenever I first started playing... "Are these really all women?" A lot of the girls are beasts!

definately visit coyote ugly in NYNY. well worth it.

if you are a first timer DEFINATELY explore. do not stay in one place for so long. you can sure as shit do alot at each hotel/casino but there is so much to see. different people frequent different areas.

Thanks Turbo! I just booked the trip now the fun part comes, trying to figure out what to check out.
Anyone ever been to the cirque de soliel show? Im wondering what all the hype is about.
Someone else told me to go to club Rehab but after seeing the show they have, Im thinking more along the lines of not so much!

do you know when you'll be back again? LOL someone had to =P

Who knows, they dont call it Sin City for nothin'!
lol

They don't make the travel arrangements for you?

you can eat at a DLR pretty much anywhere nowadays... not really the same experience. the one in boston was way better.
