im doing a swap and ran across a problem with the distributor wire.. im using a 97 civic ex wire harness and the distributor harness does not fit.. any idea if i should get it rewired or get a new distributor??

Make sure you routed the main harness correctly. You may need to extend some of the wire harness branches. This is easy with a decent soldering iron, heat shrink tube, and quality electrical tape.

If u are using the jdm diizzy that came wit the motor it wont work. The plugs between usm and jdm are different. Get a usdm b16 or gsr dizzy, swap em out, and ur good to go.

if you can do a lil wiring just cut plugs dizzy wires are all same color's just different clips solder, heat shrik them

My OBD1 JDM dizzy on my B16 plugged right into a USDM D16Z6 Engine Harness.

What year is the ITR swap? Could be OBD2A vs OBD2B thing?

yeah if your ITR swap is 98+ spec, its obd2b which the dizzy plugs are different. your car being a 97 means its obd2a.
