I wear stretchy pants
So I'm making a comfortable living with Subaru and have some spending money left. I was first debating on getting a pieced together kist and paying a friend to build and tune.

After letting him know of my wants and needs he pointed me in this direction.
godspeed dc5 rsx k20 02-03-04-05-06 t3t4 turbo kit: eBay Motors (item 170521115553 end time Aug-06-10 15:10:00 PDT)

I want 350ish whp on pump gas (93) without having to sacrifice drivability since it's my daily driver. NO TRACK use what so ever. just for fun around driving.

My parts list without the turbo are...
AEM FIC with harness or Hondata
3'' exhaust
injectors (what size ?)
fuel pump (?)
RBC intake man from CRSX.com
Gauges for oil pressure-boost-egt\

any other suggestions on top of mentioned list including Turbo kit?

Will my clutch and axles take it? I dont see whiy the axles will give out but the clutch could use a replacing.

is this spare money you are spending? i know you have had a lot of attorney fees lately. if so, what is your budget?

forgot. :p

I was approved for my spouse visa (waited 3yrs)! woot woot! those fees are paid up. Bills are paid. got a lot of bonus money this month so i wont even be touching my normal income

anyway, I'm going to have to take it somewhat slow. So far I can dish out $1500 next week on the kit. I could use it on the engine managment, exhaust kit or something else and wait another month.

Ultimately I say $3,500ish

sweet dude, you need to update your thread.

i'm a little squeemish about a $1000 turbo kit. if you can piece it together, i would go that route. it's better to pay a lot up front and no have to replace any parts....or engine.

Yea that kit looks a little sketch. Piecing together is always the best bang for the buck. If it were me I'd save up for a peakboost or full-race kit.

i say no to a $1k turbo kit on an RSX unless its a used legitimate kit.

godspeed is just another ebay brand. i would imagine you are going to have issues with longevity and reliability.

id piece one together before i put that on my car.

considered a jackson racing setup? might be able to find one used?

yeah jrsc makes good power on k series. the smooth power delivery and down low grunt from a roots type blower is really fun for a street car.

350WHP is a total waste on the street, it sucks I'd never do it again.

Save your money up and buy something worth while to put down sick power on the street. Or, do a nice simple build maybe 250WHP. for street use trust me. its more then enough. 220 might even be enough.

I've been there done that, never again unless I plan on driving around with DRs daily.

Why not get an STI? save up, sell the RSX and make the jump or even build an older WRX? 240SX, 350Z, S2000.

Also keep in mind if you plan on boosting your car, set aside at least twice the money you think you'll need. If done right $3000.00 will get you in the area of just a basic kit. Make sure you get a Tial waste gate and a manifold that wont crack 4 months later.

you can break 300whp with a jrsc at 10 psi ...im just sayin...

theres a local putting down over 400whp in a supercharged rsx-s... hes got a little spray on there too though.

280WHP in my old civic on its DD setting would roast the tires 1st 2nd and 3rd gear with the LS transmission. 3rd gear at 90mph....

total waste of power.

yeah i will agree that after about 250whp wheelspin is a problem, but its a fun problem to have :p

I thought of the problem as frustrating. It's like having a 14 inch penis knowing you can't use it on anything.

Not to say I wouldn't brag....

well the k20a2 can do 250 whp almost with just bolt ons and kpro, cams will do it for sure, but if it were me id jrsc. but if you decided on just 250whp get a good header like hytech something along those lines, get the new civic si intake manifold, cai, good exhaust,a set of good cams, and kpro, and a good tune and you will be there.

Sorry I missed a lot. Work is crazy! I was reading on the crsx forums and decided on a peak boost kit. Then I saw the price tag and thought of the other stuff I need to upgrade. I'm not balling that big yet.

Ill use the money on a good header, exhaust and rbc.

The kit runs about 4k. sounds great until I add the other needed items and labor. I just don't want to get carried away with allmotor like last time.
