I have a 96 civic with a k20a3, the swap is finished it runs good and everything, but i cant drive it around becasue it needs to be BARRED. Anyone know what else needs to be done apart from putting an evap canister, and changing the gas tank so it can pass inspection? Also how am i supposed to get the tank in ???

yep. all fuel, emissions and diagnostic equipment has to be out of the donor car. you got a long, painful path ahead of you hahaha.

Oh I was also told that I have to make custom gaslines is that true? :0 I got the freaking car for 2k I think I got ripped off hahahahaha

Yes, the K-series fuel system is different. You will need new fuel lines, fuel rail, fuel pump and a pressure regulator. Hybrid Racing (and others) sell them, but there was a good write up in Honda Tuning about how to do it much cheaper.

I think ima register it in Arizona seems like the easiest thing to do. I heard some guy registred his car in AZ by just sending the paper work to a family member to put it under their name and didnt even have to move the car from his garage in CA n it was only like 35 bucks, is that possible???

Dude, there is some dude down the street that has had PA plates for the last 5 years. Never seen the car even move, its kind of creepy really.

i was going to go that route with my race car so i could drive it to the track instead of trailering it every weekend. i say if you have someone willing to let you use their out of state address, do it. save yourself a huge headache.

also, i dont know if they closed this loophole, but some counties in cali dont require smog. get a p.o. box in one of these counties and have your mail forwarded to your home address. then register your car in that county.
