Droid is about to get thrown out the window

i am seriously tired of this droid! the touchscreen has a mind of its own at times but i deal with that, then the "update" today made everything worse, now none of my apps will come up including messaging, the only thing that will come up is the phone and it takes about a minute to pull it up on the screen. anybody else having problems witht theirs?

Sorry, not to familiar with phone names. I have a mytouch 3g, I dont have a single problem with mine.

I know a few people that have a Droid and I have yet to hear of any issues. Can you reset your phone to factory default to see if that fixes it?

there are only 3 "Droids"... and all are Motorola phones... the original Droid, the Droid X, and the Droid 2

the rest are Android OS based smart phones

yeah sorry i wasnt clear... the original Moto Droid. i called tech support and they had me reset to factory defaults and its fine... for now. i dont give it long though. so nobody else has had problems with theirs?

The Incredible is considered the Droid too; when I purchased it, it was listed as "HTC Droid Incredible"; have not had any issues with my phone at all except battery issues when I first bought it.

I actually avoided the original Droid and waited for the Incredible due to reviews from consumers.

B is probably right. And now with 2.2 the screen also goes wide on the non keyboard side... Thats probably what is annoying you. It wigged me out for a sec too. I kept trying to open my phone from the wrong side... haha..

no i mean i did nothing but the 2.2 update, i did it and tried to go to handcent sms and boom nothing worked, had to factory reset it from safe mode and it finally is working

So you did a system update and had issues and now want the phone gone? Did you not think a factory reset wouldn't fix it?

F droid. I'd rather let apple nag the shit out of me to update my iphone everytime I plug it into Itunes. Only to hit update oopps and wipe out my jailbreak...... As with any issues a few of the updated os releases had.

well i havent liked the phone for a long time but i could still use it and i dont know everything when it comes to electronics so i had to deal with tech support and figure out how to reset it

Not the same phone by any means, but my Blackberry Storm had a touchscreen that had a mind of its own too. I brought it to the store and they gave me a new one. If you did nothing to cause it, just go get a new one and hopefully you wont have the same issues.

My only issues with my Storm are that it just operates slow and the internet is stupid slow. Like drive home, Google something, drive back before my phone finishes.

i dont know wtf you are talking about. i had the storm and the storm2 and my droid x blows both of them out of the water by miles.

also, my droid doesnt only click when you touch it, it vibrates too.
