hi guys new here fantastic site very helpful info .
so here is the deal, im doing my 1st engine swap the car is civic 1.3 DX
the doner car crx del sol sir B16a . i have both engines out as of today,
im just unsure of the wiring loom , do i need too bring the whole wiring loom on the sol as it looks like it all joins into one inside the car .

also do i have too remove the dash??

many thanks john .

You almost always use the harness that was in the stock car. I have no idea what a 1.3DX is or what year it is but I'd assume you'd need to at least wire for vtec.

Edit: You also can't expect a fast response this time of day. Most people are on this board at night.

Don't need to remove the dash, but you do need to give the years of the car, and the donor car.

hi guys .
sorry year of cars 95 honda civic (not fuel injected)
the doner car is 93 crx delsol 1.6 B16A

im from ireland . its dual carb

Shouldn't be too bad, if I remember correctly even all the 94-95 euro 5th gens are completely wired from the canon plugs to the ECU, BUT I could be wrong.

If I am right you'll just have to swap the B16A with it's harness, there should be two or three sets of plugs at each of the shock tower mounting points on either side. Look out for an externally mounted MAP sensor, will probably be on the firewall. If the Civic isn't wired from the canon plugs to the ECU than it's just a matter of running the wires from their appropriate point in the plugs to their place on the ECU plugs.

Host the pics somewhere like Imageshack or Photobucket, than post the share > Direct link between the [ img ] [/ img ] tags.

As far as it being worth it, once you drive it you will see that it was well worth it :) especially going from the 1.3 to the DOHC 1.6.
