Hurricane EARL

looking like it may hit the carloinas and move up the whole east coast.

Awesome. I have never been in a hurricane. I'm stoked. Going to stock up on beer and tequila!

we need it to move west. then go all the way north. 1 good storm could take out new orleans AND detroit.

i wouldnt mind some rain, but i dont want any flooding. i live near the water (house across the street is on the water) and over 1' of flood water would SUUUUCK. house is raised up like 4 ft off the ground, but track car is up on stands in the garage. not easy to move with no suspension lol

put a wench system on the ceiling. reinforce the bracing up there, strap the car up, lift it to the ceiling.
could be done. probably not cheap, but you'd have an awesome lift.

or, you could sandbag around the car.

i hope we get fucked. i could use a few days off.

my parents have a generator we can just go there its no big deal for me. ive been in hurricanes its not so bad.

Doesn't your GF have family in Marion, OH (15 min from me)? Always a fallback if things get sub 3rd world in MA

im just glad its not coming to florida!

hopefully it will just stay out in the ocean and not make a direct landfall... a direct hit hurricane is not fun, i can tell you from personal experience. good luck new englanders!

I'm glad I don't live on any coasts. One big tornado every 10 years is good enough for me.

so what are we supposed to look out for??
i dont recall ever being through a hurricane so i dont know what to prepare..
im just worried about trees falling on my car.
we live on a hill so we wont flood.the trees around the house arent close enough to do damage.
so?
