this is probably a stupid question

pretty sure i know the answer to this but can you take an engine that was auto and slap a 5speed on it with a 5speed ecu and drop it into a 5speed car?

yes, 99% of the engine will be the same. Some auto's have smaller cam profiles, but in general, they are the same damn thing.

few more things...
1. can i use the auto tranni axles?
2. does it bolt right up
3. anything i should know when bolting them together
4. do i have to adjust the clutch or anything? or do i just slide it in i alrady have the flywheel/clutch off my old block

no your going to need to get new axles. the tranny should bolt right up and your going to need a new t bracket. be sure to get the right bracket.

why would i need a new t bracket its the same exact engine except im taking the auto transmission off it and putting my 5speed on it and putting the engine into my 5speed car. also i was looking at replacement axles and it didnt say anything about having a set for auto and a set for manual...its a d16z6 im putting into my del sol that came with a d16z6....just making sure dont wanna waste money

if you have the tranny mout for the 5spd, you won't need to buy one.. but the auto mount is different.

i have everything from my old engine (manual d16z6) i bought an auto d16z6 and just wanna replace the auto tranni with my manual since my car is a manual what will i need to buy? axles?

ok, the car is manual, and you have everything that came out of your car.
just putting a new engine in?

if you already have everything why do you need axles? are your old ones busted?
if you need new axles call up your local parts house and ask them if the part numbers are different between an auto and a manual.
that will take care of that.

if the car is manual, then just change the engine. you have to take the torque converter off if its still attached to the engine. then put your flywheel and clutch on.

he's not converting a car to manual from auto. just changing the engine out.

should be a direct replacement.

there all rusted and shit so i wanted to use the auto ones cuz there in alot better condition

call autozone, or honda. give them the information about the car. and then have them look up the part numbers for both auto and manual.
same numbers, same part.
different numbers, then it wont work.

so i got the new engine..after taking it apart i found some pretty interesting things...like chessnuts in the head..now i found a tar like substance in the intake? its hard to explain but its all over the fuel injectors and in the intake wtf could that be?

It means that oil is getting into your intake some how, there a couple ways, bad seals between the plugs? Could also be circulating from the valve cover and back in the intake.
