Video Editing

I wanna start puttin videos togather. Just of random shit mostly. Car meets, friends cars, races, that kinda stuff. I was wondering if anyone here knows a good video editing program, thats free lol. By good, I just mean easy to figure out and use but still capable doin all the basic tasks. Id like to be able to insert freeze frames, maybe do the shots where you pan around a freeze frame. Id also like to overlay text, or insert text frames. Really just the basics.

So, what are some programs I should look into?

None. Most people's videos suck. Unless of course they have really nice cameras, professional editing programs, and skill.

Ya I figured you were, I was too lol. Didnt really care either way. We both know how serious the interwebz are yo.

Ya, like I said, Im just tryin to do simple shit. Id just like to be able videos that are better than the average YouTube shit.

And eg, I didnt have Windows movie maker installed already, so I downloaded it. Thanks.
