will a 94 SOHC v-tec d16 plug into my 92 civic

hey i'm new at this online stuff but hopefully you guys can help i have a 92 civic dx with a d15 16value and want to put my 94 civic ex w/d16 sohc v-tec into it will i have to put the 94 computer into my car also or wll mine run the v-tec??????

yes you will have to change the ecu to a p28 because your p06 isnt a vtec ecu

you dont need a harness. just use your stock harness and run the 3 wires for vtec

hey thanks i ended up selling the car but i still have my 94 v-tec it's out of a ex and now i have a 94 lx that had the baby vtec-e but they put a dx 1.5 in it......so if i want to put my ex v-tec into my lx body will that ecu run it were it was the baby v-tec or will i need my ex ecu also???

the lx didnt come with vtec-e. they came with a d15b7. the only car that generation that had vtec-e was the vx hatchback. regardless of the motor in it, if youre gonna put the d16 in youll need to get a p28 ecu and run the vtec wires from the ecu to the appropriate place
