Well let me start of introducing myself.. Name is Pizzo.. I bought a Honda Civic did a swap with out any help from anybody it just seemed logical for me to do it.. I have run into some problems along the way like the one that has me stumped Right now..
Car ran great up until a few days ago..
It seems like the Rev limiter is kicking in early for some reason its not letting me hit 8,000 RPM s??? Why did this happen you ask. Well long story short. I have my normal reprogrammed 8500 rev limiter set at ECM but its hitting at 7500...

I'm stumped could the chip burn up and cause it to roll back to factory settings? I know that isn't really possible but it is a STUPID question.. I am thinking that I burned up my computer and now the injectors isn't working correctly anymore or its stumbling on its face... Hummm I'll ohm out the injectors tomorrow.

Just because I didn't fill in my Sig yet
I have a 1993 civic dx b16a2 from a 2000 SI, 1995 gsr trans, 1995 gsr harness (swapping that to a 2000 si soon) , 2001 integra 5 lug suspension, And some sounds

I got it all figured out.. My ECM is fried...
It was in the harness. the Vtec harness shorted out and burnt the computer. With what I thought was a Rev limiter was actually my injectors cutting out with the such high Rpm and vibration (my guess) it felt like a rev limiter hitting... and then today as I was working on the car.. it was idling at 2500 rpm. ohmed the injectors good. niode the injector plugs. the lights stayed on meaning the injectors was firing at all different times causing the idle to be high now...

Does that sound logical to anyone here?

Now I am going to start at the very top of my problem.. This is the second ECM in a week. I had two p28 ecm's on the car. And a p73 a few months ago, fried it..
The wire harness for the engine I think its a nightmare. Something I think I am going to take it to the speed shop and let them mess with it.. As I really never should have let my friend who has helped with some wiring. BIG MISTAKE i should have busted out some diagrams and done it myself. so I relate to my own problem..

I did not take it to a speed shop. I fixed it myself. A lot has to do with the fact I wasn't reading the book and reading directions here on Swap.. The Ecm is fried.. Here is why
My injectors are for a OBD0 car I am running a OBD1 computer and harness so I need the resistor box installed.. Witch i had it capped off... Those stock injectors was given too me was for a OBD0 witch I was told they are OBD1 and they will work fine.. Guess not because I fried a kick butt p73 that my car was a little rocket ship.. No I have a chipped socketed p72 :D with matching RC 310 injectors :D :D
the moral of my story is READ THE DIRECTIONS Look up your parts before you install them to make sure the parts are for you vehicle..
I hope this helps someone here with a problem they are having... Thanks Tommy Pizzo
