i just bought my first Honda it didn't run when i bought it got it figured out it was the timing was off got it fixed and now it runs just cant the the timing belt tighten if some one could tell me how to going about doing this that would be nice oh and the tencheners pulleys have been change alone with the water pump lol

use a ratchet on the crank to pull all of the belt slack out "front" side of the crank/cam, and then proceed with tightening the tensioner.

can you tell if there's areas where the belt is tighter than other areas? Also, to pull the slack out did you actually rotate the engine one or more times, or just turned it enough to pull out slack?

ive rotated it like 3 turns from the crank and it the front is some what tight and the back is really lose

its so lose if i put the cover back on it would slap it, Ive drove it it dont act like its really lose but i dont want to jump time if i have to get on it

I guess make sure the tooth count on the water pump is right, and make sure you infact have the correct timing belt.

i would agree, because that motor has an automatic tensioner, either the pump is wrong or the belt is to big
