I was hopping the EF thread here would help me out but they are slightly different.
Well managed to get my door stuck in the grass and it started to pop the driver side door molding anyone know how to remove the lower edge door molding so I can put it back on

Thanks

I'm trying to remember if I ever took those off...but I do know they use clips like the upper moldings.

Thank for the input, when I get a chance which probably won't be till this weekend I'll take the door panel off and look around the bottom of the door for any fasteners that can be undone. But in the meantime I'll await more comments.

I have a parts car- it may not be till this weekend but I will try and get out there and pop it off of one of the doors- and then it won't matter if the clips get broken. I will let ya know.

I should add, unlike the upper door moldings, IIRC it was possible to take the clips out from inside the car by removing the door panel. Though don't quote me on that, been a while since I had the CRX.

Well hell the door panels are off of both of mine right now I will just go out there and look when I get home today.

The molding is held on by 5 or 6 heavy duty clips. You probably won't be able to get the molding off without breaking them. You can get to them with the door panel off inside the door. I will post pics of the clip tomorrow morning.

Nykole, thanks for the info. Looking forward to the pics when you get around to it.

Sorry the pics are so crappy- it was dark when I got home so we had to use a flashlight. Stupid HTC Hero doesn't have a flash (wtf?)... Anyways- they are pretty sturdy clips- there are about 5 or 6 of them. I'm not saying it's impossible to get the molding off without taking the door panel off and going from the inside, but if it was me- I would. You can order new clips though- for fairly cheap- I looked that up last night too.

Looks like I'll plan a day to do this when I can take the door panel off. Thanks again for the info and pics.
