Now black people will be confused. Do they buy a Chrysler 300C or a genesis??? Brothers need a bentley. Lmao

A real pick up truck from them would be nice.

My gf has a 2008 Civic. She loves the car and it does what she needs it to do. I think its a good car for the money and decent to drive. I would not want to drive it everyday. The steering is too light for me and the handling is good but I think the older civics handled better. I know a few other people with newer Civics and they all love them, but none of them are into cars. They could care less about rwd, most of the time standard tranny, and being sporty.
If I buy a car for my next vehicle it will probably be a Mustang, Camaro, or a Z. The main reason I haven't traded my truck in for a new one other than having a few payments left on it, is that I can't get a standard with a bigger engine.

Honda does not give a shit about rwd, awd, racing and performance. Alls they care about is making an affordable eco car that the majority of the public is looking for.

Well Said ! they are appealing to the masses with eco friendly cars that are cheap to build and visually appealing, nothing more, performance is out of the question anymore

Honda does care about performance, but not in the way VAG cares about performance. Honda has different goals, hence the creation of the HRL program under HPD. They're making a big push to get people who do grassroots motorsports on their own dime associated with Honda Corporate.

Bottom line is that Honda is in the business of SELLING CARS. They want to make money, not make a small subset of car owners ecstatic.

and thats ok.. leave it to us to find what fits and swap it in.. lol

My point exactly. HPD is willing to help the small subset of people (who are also HRL members) by developing the prototype parts needed to do odd engine swaps. They're willing to help, but not do it for you.

If you want a fast-as-balls car that will dominate the race-track, buy a Lotus or an Atom or a DP1 :)D). I like my CR-Z the way it is right now. If it ever doesn't satisfy me, I know that I have the support of HPD to do what I want with it.

honestly that changed my opinion on things, congrats, agreed

As the honda re-sale market drops (ie, used cars), the value will hold less, and slowly but surely, the idea of buying a honda cuz it doesn't lose a lot of retail will be gone. There's no secondary market on anything made today.

I see one or 2 new civics around. 10 years ago, EVERYONE had a civic. as those reach 200k and hacked to shit by ricers, we all move on. A lot of us already have. If they want to make a come-back, they better do it soon.... because the CR-Z didn't do it, and if it still weights 3400 lbs with 200 hp, that won't do it either.
Are you trying to say the CR-Z weighs 3400 lbs?

2637-2707

remove some batteries and junk for a gasoline engine model and it suddenly weighs even less

Ya it weighs 2700 lbs, but remove the huge battery and electric drive system, it will drop several hundred pounds. A 2300 lb vehicle with 200 hp would be a blast, especially one that gets 30+ mpg.

I agree. Though, I doubt it would get down to 2300. I just don't know what B was thinking of when he put 3400 lbs.

an RSX-S weighs 2840lbs, more than the CR-Z.. the way it is now w/ a 200hp engine would still be fun

I'm taking my cr-z to the scales nearby this weekend. I'll report back. :D

6MT, EX with Navi, should be about 2650.
