Should be another good game to enjoy and shoot people, haha. But Im gonna be worried about multiplayer though. Heard they are taking original maps and changing them a little bit..

i dont get to play it. my xbox gave me the e73 error after 4 years of hard use

unfortunately i dont either cuz i still dont have internet at home

Looks like the same thing as COD:BO

only 100 times better. did you see the graphics? did you see all the vehicles? can you completely blow down a building into a pile of rubel on COD? COD has always copied Battlefield and always been one step behind them. COD:BA was released before this but this is only an update of an older game released years before that steaming pile of COD was passed from the bowels of some festering shit head.

im so getting bashed for this but fuck it
i HATE COD

neg rep here i come

you're not going to get bash for your opion on black ops. most of us on here dont' care too much for it.

have you played this yet?

GSRCRXsi just so you know this was in no way aimed at you

judging by the lack of responce i got to the thread and a few other BF comments i made i figured most people on here were die hard COD. I've played most of the CODs and had some fun times but nothing closes to BF and not enough to justify $60.

have you played this yet?

it was released at midnight last night so not yet.

ok, i wasn't sure on the release date. after you get a few hours in, an in depth write up and review would be great.

I swear, I must be just having great luck with Black Ops. I mean, yeah, I've had some disconnects and some lag and some lobbies that have timed out, but for the most part it's performed like any of the other CoD games have. But apparently lots of other people are having horrible issues with it that are making it almost unplayable.

It's weird because even the 360 folks are complaining about it, and I'm on PS3 (which is supposed to be having more issues), but I've been fine so far...

i'm not even talking about the online quality....i just don't think it's that great of a game. i think they knocked it out of the park with MW2....gaming, graphics, sounds, storyline, etc. black ops just falls short for me.

Graphics is a moot point to me. I play pc, my graphics are better anyway ;). Just the whole premise of the game looks the same. Multiplayer wise at least. You are a man with a gun shooting people in Vietnam era weapons and clothes, exactly the same as BO lol, I don't need two games that are so similar lol. I've been wanting to pick up medal of honor though, heard the campaign was really good

My BO looks really good actually. Settings jacked all the way up lol.

all other things aside i dont like the linear play of COD. for the most part BC has expancive sand box style maps that COD cant match

I've never played any battlefield games, but are you talking about single player or multiplayer?

Compitition is a good thing. But the fact is most people play CoD. I think that the Halo franchise is head and shoulder better than CoD or Battlefield but hardly anyone plays Halo anymore. I may check out BC2 Vietnam but unless a bunch of people I know start playing it a good amount I probably will never purchase it. I hate playing pickup games the only exception is Reach. But even then it sucks playing with people that dont have mics or have no idea how to actually play as a team.

unfortunatley vietnam is a ~$15 add on to bfbc2 so to play you have to pay. unless that is you have friend who deosnt mind you playing on thier profile.

and i couldnt agree more about pickup games. if im not playin with my friends i set in the back with the barret .50 and go 20-0

Damn, I just got rid of BC2 three days ago... I guess Ill have to hunt it down on ebay or something.

ill be playing this. black ops is boring me already

When it comes to CoD vs. BF, it really comes down to what kind of an experience you want. BF is more realistic, and much more focused on team-work. I mean yeah, there are all manner of team-based modes in CoD, but 90% of the time you're going to end up with a group of players who really just want to improve their personal stats rather then accomplish anything as a team.

CoD is much more like an arcade game. Faster-paced, and much more rewarding to individual players with quick reflexes as opposed to groups of people who actually like to play specific roles and win via strategy...

Graphics and sound for sure. ALTHOUGH, I will say that I think BO has some of the best facial animations I've ever seen. Take the very first level for example, when you're talking to Woods in the bar. His face looks absolutely real. It's funny though, because his face looks awesome, but then the pack of cigerettes on his sleeve looks all digital and crappy, lol. It's very inconsistent graphics-wise. MW2 is definitely smoother overall.

Storywise? I dunno, I think I have to go with BO for story. MW2's storyline wasn't bad, but it just seemed kind of bland to me. Not bad, but not spectacular. BO's story seemed fresher and more interesting. Plus I liked how they broke away from the traditional CoD go-to of simply jumping around between 2-3 seperate campaigns and instead, just focusing on one character.

But anyway, what does BFBC2 cost now? Like $20? Maybe it's time for me to pick it up...
