i have an eg with only an intake b18b1 and greedy exhaust i wanna build my motor and boost it yet i am still new my goal is to be around 400-450 hp and push 20psi of boost... how can i do this only spending around only 3Gs or as little as possible? parts brands and prices would be awesome (as i said im new to this)

ok, i'm going to chime in here before you get flamed.

everything you need to know about your build has been posted on this forum. don't post again until you read more about hondas. just please do some more research. your goal right now is silly and impossible to do with your budget and knowledge.

i'm not being a dick, i'm trying to help keep you from getting flamed. read for about an hour and you'll learn a ton.

95b16coupe gave you the jest of it. One more question is, is that $3,000 for the build? Or the build and the turbo?

Fast, Cheap, Reliable ...pick two.

anything is possible.....................$3000 is good enough i think for a good mild build.......just cop urself some forge pistons and rods new bearings vtec water pump, vtec timing belt, vtec oil pump, machine work.....thats the bottom end and the head u can keep stokk and get a good turbo and tuning system ull be happy unless u want more power and buy some turbo cams and gears to adjust and the whole Crower valve train to handle.

im also in the process of building a fully built str8t Ls turbo, meaning Ls head, Ls blokk, and Ls tranny.

my setup/ stuff i already bought.

B18B1 HEAD:
Crower 402s camz, Crower titanium retainers and dual springs, ferrer oversize valves, Skunk2 cam gears, Skunk2 I.M, Skunk2 T.B, AEM fuel rail, b&m fpr, msd cap and wires, machine work.... PnP, 3 angle valve job, hot tanked, all new sensors, FRESH!..lol

B18B1 BLOKK:
Wiseco 9.1 comp oversize pistons with rings, Eagle rods, ACL race bearings, type R oil pump, machine work.....hot tanked, cleaned, bored, Polishing and knife edge stokk Ls crank, getting everythng balance...

Ls tranny?????? still not sure what i should do bout the tranny.

stuff i still need to complete the project:
vtec water pump, vtec timing belt, ARP Ls head bolts, MLS head gasket, RC 750cc injectors,......

TUNING: Hondata s300 on P75 ecu (ALREADY HAVE)

all i gotta say is if u building a motor mind as well build it right the first time... this project started in feb almost a year already cuz money issue....im looking to drive daily on 350-400hp ...........GOOD LUKK!!!!

400hp is stupid on a Honda. Not streetable. It also cost about $10,000. Plus, since you have to ask, you probably don't know much about how to build it yourself, you will have to pay. Ask around and see if you can find anybody with. 400hp Honda. Doubt that you will, and if you do, ask if they will let you drive it. Come back in a couple days after you have done some research.

get him!!! no but serioulsy dude i spent my entire millitary bonus (30k) on my b18 ek and got 692 on the dyno. anything more than 350 is no fun as a dd. but thats my opion. good luck

Delusions of grandeur! Well....I would like a lot of ponies too but it would not be a daily driver. You can't or....technically....dont want to drive that much front wheel drive hp around. You can't get on it without ripping the tires loose at 3500rpm....or less. And getting loose in first through third gear on the street can be dangerous with parked cars and such.

You want the the feel of a turbo spooling up and sound....? Get yourself a turbo kit for the internally stock B18B and keep it around 6-9lbs. It will be "streetable" and it will still stomp just about everything on the street....especially from a 20mph roll in second.

Pretty much. The whole beauty of modding Hondas is that they are light, it takes a lot less to get 2,000lbs moving than it does to get 3,500 moving.
