To bad they left out wireless networks ie: cell phones. Some netbooks have 3G chip sets in them as do a lot of tablets. This is a tough nut to crack from what I have read. On the one hand I don't want to have comcast telling me that I cannot watch Netflix, or charge me an extraordinarily high fee to do so because they want to push their product. But I don't like the idea of the government telling a private organization what they can and cannot do with their property. I am still on the fence but I have been doing some studying and research on the issue. It isn't nearly as cut and dry as they would have us believe.
 
eh.. i have Brighthouse w/ Roadrunner Turbo Internet.. i think its basically Time Warner.. no worries here

comcast wanted to be able to charge a monthly access fee for netflix because it was a direct competitor to ondemand.

and you can replace 'porn' with anything else that people can't seem to agree on, like the .torrent extention, or anything else
 
I'm not talking about that. Comcast bills stations to be allowed onto cable packages. Comcast was going to block Netflix unless Netflix and the customer pay extra. Sort of like having hbo or showtime.

That will just lead to a bunch of pimple faced albinos with extremely strong right hooks coming out of their caves. Guarantee if they ban porn, murder and assault rates will sky rocket. How else is a man to release some tension?

i was under the belief that netflix is raising fees to cover the $500 million or whatever they spent in licensing and access agreements. along with improving service and selection.

but if you check out comcast, they are a bunch of fuckwads. our government is worried about steriods and other bullshit, yet when consumers get fucked by a major monopoly, they turn a blind eye while holding out a money greased hand behind their back.
