...just to rub it in :D

Some of the cars I can't say what work was done to them, for privacy reasons. Not my rule.

A couplea TT 996's, one with 'modified' K24 turbos, one with Alpha turbos.

photo11.jpg

997, 'modified' "stock" turbos, some other aftermarket turbo/engine goodies.

photo3.jpg

An older aircooled 993, a 997 getting bigger brakes, a 996 for some maintenance, and stuffed back in there is an F430 for some 'miscellaneous' work

'89 Testarossa

F430, 996, Ford GT.

Ford GT. It's still a Ford...ugh. In the background is an SL65 AMG that is SWEEEEET...one of my favorite cars at the moment (strange, since it's a Mercedes)

I agree with the SL65 there's a black on black SL65 local to me the price tag is like 280K =(

One day I'll own one.

Your so lucky.. But im with B I would be afraid to touch them too..

You get over the initial 'fear of taking apart something that costs more than your house' pretty quick...you have to, especially when the FSM's method of removing a trim panel is to 'To remove panel, tug firmly in the direction of the arrow without breaking', on a panel that costs $800.

Kinda weird you can't just disclose what has been done to it. I mean I understand, just cool.

My rule, anything that is better than you, automatically skeet on and then worry about repurcussions.

Fuck worrying about panels. If they can afford a $10k turbo, a panel bolt ain't shit.

That is true I didn't think about that..

The "oh shit oh shit oh shit" factor wears off quick once you've done something correctly. Idea being "I did ______, so this can't be that hard.". While I don't exactly work on modified 997 Turbos, R8's and RS6s are still somewhat exotic.

mehh....

those cars are only a few hundred thousands dollars each....

hate to burst your bubble...but I work on $16M+ aircraft everyday.

I just can't take pictures of them or the work I do.

pop....

Yeah, I wouldn't ever do your job. A friend of mine is an aircraft mechanic, he works on landing gear for AA. Just landing gear. I've seen some of the stuff he works on, some chunk of titanium that costs $40k and is held in with rivets or somethin that has to be frozen in nitrogen before it's installed - or some shit like that.

Fuck that job.

If I fuck up and one of my motors blows up, worst case scenario is someone maybe tags a guardrail and I have to eat Ramen for a while. If YOU screw up and a motor you built blows up, you just killed 300 women and children.

Yeah. I'll stick to cars.

Most speed shops are like that... people want to keep their projects under wraps, or they want to be the ones to tell the world about it themselves.

They didn't get rich by throwing money away.

You know what I work on.

I can't see how you'd blow up a motor anyways. Unless you do something way stupid like leaving a drain plug out.
