I want to buy this 92 eg hatch its ready for turbo got all the pieces I am wondering if you guys can guide me through it when I get it, and also he said all LAM's have been changed I didn't understand that can someone explain to me what that means? This is what I can remember thats in the EG

B16A DOHC V-TEC engine, LAM's? have all been changed?, full coilovers, front cambers, lightweight flywheel, stage 2 clutch, high performance fuel rail, jdm fuel regulator, Tanabe Exhuast, jdm quick release steering wheel, 15 inch rims. The car is ready for turbo got all that is needed jdm intercooler, xs power turbo headers, ar.50 t3/t4 turbo charger, jdm blow off valve, all piping, 750cc injectors, xs power electronic boost controller, apexi v-tec controller.

It has 2 little bondo's on it but nothing big I can probably smack it out. So please help! :(

no offense, but this car sounds slapped together, and half-assed. every part listed on there is an ebay part, and those are not pieces that i trust to be on my vehicle.

the wise thing to do here would be to tell him to keep all of the turbo shit for the car. buy the car, get it looking/running properly, then begin your research on a turbocharger.

also, he means LMA's, not LAM's. LMA is an acronym for Lost Motion Assemblies. these supply pressure to the rocker arm that the VTEC lobe rides on.

these being replaced can be a good or bad thing. either the car has been beat to hell, and they needed to be replaced prematurely, or its a higher mileage engine and normal wear and tear saw that they needed to be replaced.

if the car does have some bad bondo spots on it, id offer him a lower price than his asking price, and id also note that you want nothing to do with his "turbo setup". :rolleyes:

Thanks Matt I didn't end up buying needed new brakes 3/10 interior rear mount and it wasn't real smooth while i was driving it i was thinking about selling the turbo instead of putting it in actually but i did want to try to put it in to see how it looked and sound xD but I am currently looking at another one no dents good interior ok miles nice paint job but i know its gunna need a new starter soon and it needs a new fuel filter can one of you by any chance tell me a estimate of how much it can cost up to fix?
 
a fuel filter will run you ~$50
a starter will run you ~$150 for new, probably 25-50 from a scrap yard

if you do everything yourself, obviously the parts will be the only cost. if you have a shop do it, I wouldnt pay more than ~$250-300 to have both of those things done.
 
yah thats what i was thinking just making sure i had a good price range insight thanks a lot guys
