I figured I would just start a new thread for anyone to share their photos since the last one is a bit old. I know there are a few of you here that also like to do photography as a hobby, so post up your recent shots!

After letting my 365 project drop off half way through last year, I've been making an effort to get back out taking photos. My concentration has been mostly on shooting surfing, but I have a pretty limited gear selection to work with.

hell yea 3&4 are very nice.. all nice though!

number 1 ya kinda lost em in the wave.. lol

number 4 is badass.

i think since this is a new thread, we should make a few guidelines?

like, when posting numerous pics, number them. makes it easier to comment and critique. having to count is a hassle sometimes when a lot of pics are posted.

any other suggestions?

i am not much of a photographer, but heres a couple pics of the ocean and intercoastal from when i was out fishing the other morning. they were taken while driving the boat at about 30-35mph.

those make me jealous that im stuck in this freezing land locked state.

bastard.
lol

but, you should remember the rule of 3rds. never put the horizon or the subject in the middle. whichever is more interesting should take up a 3rd of the pic, and the subject (the horizon in your case) should more to the top or bottom.

Yea, I tried to keep it to only a few in one post. Maybe we should limit it to 4-5 photos per post? Numbered? I'm totally cool w/ making some guidelines for the thread.

Is that Blacks beach?
Yup.

Those light rays are cool. It's crazy how quick those can come and go before you can get the camera out to catch them.

That's part of the rule of thirds, but another way of thinking of it is by dividing the photo into thirds vertically and horizontally, and trying to get the focal point of the photo on one of the intersections of the lines. And then there's also saying screw the "rules" and doing whatever you want:)

heres some i got:
I like #3, and #2 would have been really cool if you woulda had a tripod to keep it sharp.

The trail to beach is what told me its Blacks... not bad going down.. but coming up sucks..lol
Hell yea. That trail will tell you very quickly whether or not you are out of shape. I was huffing and puffing halfway up this last time. a few years back I could jog up it easily, not anymore

just one of my pup Diesel when he was still small.. lol
