IIRC there's one of a CRX that lasted longer. They replaced the oil with water(where I guess it boiled itself out), etc. and just left a brick on the gas pedal.

That's the first time I've seen that. The video I saw was specifically a CRX, and had flames shooting out of the exhaust port. IIRC, it was a blue CRX.

How to kill your crx motor. Drive on a night that has very heavy rain. Go around corner that contains a big ass puddle. Can't go into other lane due to on coming car, too late to brake. Suck up water into your cold air intake. 4 chunks missing from my engine. 5 miles from home drive about 3 when the motor finally quits glowing red.
