As the title says, anyone here work for Chipotle?

Why do you ask?

Need to put together a business plan. Chipotle is the closest thing to what my goal is business wise, both food cost and price range as with style of serving so I'm trying to get an idea of daily #s both labor and total sales.

It's a public company but it's hard to get a good idea when a few thousand stores are bunched together.

Chipotle didnt lower their prices after the 2008 crash. Subway came out with $5 fooootlongz right when that happened.

They are a premium brand in the fast food market. Their nearest competitor is Qdoba which has lower quality food, at a lower price.

id imagine a regular employee could get in big trouble by giving you that kind of information. most companies keep that kind of stuff as "proprietary" or "confidential". not like its some big trade secret or anything, just stuff they dont freely disclose to just anyone. have you contacted their corporate HQ? they are probably the only ones who would be authorized to give you that info, if they would at all.

write them and tell them you are interested in opening a franchise and see what numbers they will give you.

No doubt, too bad many people talk. Besides its a public company, everything is laid out in the open, I just can't get it by store by store.

Your right, no one is going to break it out location by location for you, but they do disclose average data which should be a good starting point for you.

Avg Restaurant:

Sales: $1.8M
Operating Costs $1.3M
Initial Capital: $800K

That implies a pretty damn good ROI.

I've seen that since they do have open books I just wish I could see daily #s

Qdoba I didn't know franchised. I'll have to look into them.

I don't care if any of these places suck they have a price point that is in the area of what I'm aiming for so its a great place to use for basic number crunching.

I don't want to open a Qdoba I don't want to open a Chipotle even if they did franchise.
