***oh and i fixed the title

The state should offer a reward for returning these criminals so that they can vote. Send bounty hunters after em!

It blows me away that they are blind to how others view this particular strategy. What do they think they are going to accomplish by leaving the state?? Ill hunt around for the link I found yesterday but a group of Tea Party members actually found them yesterday afternoon and forced them to leave.

And what’s with folks making comments comparing this to Egypt? How dense does someone have to be to draw that parallel?

Dog wouldn't survive in areas where carry(or where guns are available) is legal!

something tells me that guy wouldn't mind blowing your forehead out your asshole
just a hunch
but bounties don't usually go for dead or alive anymore, so its not too profitable

and usually the people who skip out on bail....
they don't give 2 fucks if guns are legal or not
they're fugitives

that show is all fake ass drama anyway

I hate discussing politics in terms of 'sides', but it's about time that that side started playing dirty tactics like the other side's been doing forever. Maybe then people will realize that they all need to be thrown out.

personally i think that guy is a hyped up toolshed.

this is truth.

also, i think its bullshit that these people left the state to avoid having to take a democratic vote.

nice to know that tax dollars are being used so they can avoid the responsibility that they wanted and were voted in for.

What I love about this is the provisions in Wis law that allows the governor to have state troopers round them up. Take the political issues out of it, and it's nice to see these tags who make the laws, but think they don't apply to them face the possibility of being hauled in in the back of a cop car!

Ok - I have been curious as to what you all would think of this since you are all outside of my current home state of WI. Especially since you are all getting your facts second hand from less than reliabe sources.

Facts:
-I am an educator (10 years) and I make 44,000 a year.

-I have no problem paying a portion of my pension and I already pay roughly 300.00 a month for my health ins for my wife and I. Shit actually I would have no problem if you allowed me to contribute the half of my pension that is covered for me to some other form of investing. Leave it in my paycheck and I will invest it how I see fit.

-I voted for Walker because I liked a majority of his platform. No train (which he has already done), plan to turn around the education system, no raising taxes, etc.

- he did not once mention in mainstream media/political coverage that he was attempting to take collective bargining off the table so that people could make an informed decision.

- he has left out politicians, fire and police unions from this legislation. All were supporters of his race. The State Patrol has now come out and publicly said that the have made a mistake. The fire union has been there all week. Best sign so far " the fire department is here protestingbecause you pay us to respond to emergencies"

-CBA affects me in a major way - mostly with my working conditions. I do not want 40 students in my class. I do not want to be replaced because a first year teacher is cheaper than me - even if they are not as effective.

-I did not call in sick one day during the last week. I was there every day.

I think it is brilliant - I applaud them for standing up to give the rest of us time to act - There is a precident for this (TX redistricting - sens were gone 40+ days) - I hope they can hold out till changes are made to this bill. They have offered and have been met with no response from Walker. The fact of the matter is that unless you are currently here you are getting information that is largely false or so skewed left and right that it should be disregarded. A majority of the uprising is coming from how this was postured. Late afternoon on a Friday with no chance for any real discussion on it. They wanted to vote on this as early as possible.

Check this out: YouTube - Representative Gordon Hintz on the "Budget repair bill" for an interesting perspective of the way it was announced.

If the Sens. hadn't left and delayed the vote other parts of the legislation wouldn't have come to light. Things like the amended language to Equal Opportunity laws that now leave out the Gay, Transexual, and Transgendered from protection. Things like he is going to give back Federal money for farmers. Every day that they are out of state and delay the vote is one more day that we can see what is truley in the bill. Why has he pushed back the release of the Bienium budget? My guess is he never figured on 30,000+ people for 6 straight days protesting this legislation which I feel is the ground work for an agenda he is still hiding. They have been at it for almost a week while his supporters were there for six hours and have gone home.

I do not want to start fighting with people in here as I have encountered family, friends and strangers that have made me feel the worst I have ever felt about my profession and my beliefs this past week. I would even go so far as to call it hatred. So please do not flame me for this - I would love to debate/discusss the points of this situation with any of you - as long as we can keep it civil....

On Wisconsin

Also sorry in advance for any typos - I am tired and grading my students work for report cards due tomorrow. I wanted to take a second and put this out there.

i dont believe many people here will flame you for an actual opinion based on factual information, regardless of your views.

Unions are one of the only major sources of funding for the Democratic party. If Republicans can weaken that, they can strengthen their own party tremendously. No money = no campaigning = no democrats in office.

Politicians don't care one bit about people, they care about their power. This is simply a stab at the jugular of the Wisconsin Democratic party; an attack on the 'enemies' primary money source. Hence the huge counter-reaction of walking out to prevent it. It's an internal power struggle... neither side cares about how it affects the people.
