HONDA 4 LIFE
i was hookin up my aplin cd player in my 1995 honda civic coupe and i wired everything together, then turned on the stereo, it worked but i noticed that i forgot to hook up the left front speaker, so i pulled it out and hooked it up (i had'nt taped all of the wires yet) then i tried to turn on the stereo again. it didnt turn on :( did i fry my alpine??? pls help.

also after i sent the power wires from the amp to the battery i touched the battery with the negative and positive to see if the amp would work. as soon as i touched it a couple of sparks went and the power started to melt my wires.

what do i do :( :(:mellow::confused:

nice job. check your fuses.

and you dont fucking tape your wires. atleast use wirenuts, or splice connectors. you really should solder and shrinktube them with a metra harness.

Fuses on the stereo or the car the fuse thats in the power line from the stereo seems fine.....

you may have just fried your new radio.

bring it to an audio shop with the harness they should be able to test it.

if you put power to the yellow wire and red wire, and ground to the black wire the stereo should power on.

(1) hook it direct to the battery.. (with the help of a non-colorblind person)
(2) Hope for it to power on!

because you didnt use electrical tape to cover the exposed wires, chances are some wires touched while it was powered up and shorted out your radio. you more than likely fried internal components thus rendering your radio, dead.
