okay i need to build my b18a1 to beat my bosses 06 srt8 charger. there was an argument between us after i had to hear him talk about nothing but american muscle and how much foreign cars are sh*t and now i have to beat him in a 1/4 in two months. i already have a b16 head to throw on my ls block and im looking for some pr3 pistons what else will i need to do to take this 13 sec charger. i have a good bit of money saved so just looking for some help. oh yeah im in a 90 integra. thanks.
 
Learn how to drive, seriously. You can't win races if you can't drive for shit. Just don't practice on the street. Look into the gearing on your tranny also. Get something with some shorter gears.
 
i drive just fine but thanks for the tip. ive been looking into the trans but im still not sure what to get. any of them that you recommend?
 
First off u don't just throw a b16 head on the ls block.... second off, that's not gonna be enough... sell ur b16 head and start piecing together a turbo kit... about the only way u stand a chance
 
ive got the money for a turbo kit already but just a turbos not going to do it either what else should i do after a turbo?

if done properly, a turbocharger will more than do it.

its a fucking charger. not a funny car.
 
Who cares if your boss talks shit? It's like comparing a horse terd to a dog terd, one is bigger, but they're both pieces of shit.

His car gets maybe 20mpg, I'm guessing yours gets at least 30mpg. I'd just laugh at him and tell him gas is going to be $5 a gallon by the end of the year and that you're going to be spending half as much money on gas as he is and then laugh at him.
 
How much are you looking to spend on piecing together a turbo kit?

your best bet will be a used set of slicks, a used lsd tranny, and some nitrous. you'll beat him pretty easily and your car can go back to stock pretty quickly.
 
a good turbo would give you a chance may be a t3/t4 turbo cam shafts and gears would give you some power too

If all you care about is beating him down the strip on a budget:

Throw the b16 head on while you got it. Get some ARP head studs and rod bolts. Find yourself a used wet nitrous kit. Throw a 100 shot on it and tune the hell out of it. Oh, get some slicks and a stack of autozone axles. Learn how to drive.

IMO $1500 isn't going to cut it for a tubo build and the mods you need to get it down the track in 13 seconds
 
he's your boss. he's supposed to make more money than you and drive nicer cars.


Take him on some back road twisties, and see if he can hang. That's where you have the advanage over his 5000 lb sled.
