WA has no deposit on cans?

no. there is a pretty large sales tax that funds the state. you can only collect money from the weight of the recycled aluminum. sometimes you can sneak them into the automatic machines in oregon though and collect the $.05 there though. ^_^

:werd:it sucks

You can't return if it's crushed? Cause I crush everything I drink. Also I want to see a full can crushed. I want to see that bottle crushed. I want to see the mangled hand in 2 months. And I like how it shoots shit out after it crushes it.

why does it suck? when you buy a 6 pack in oregon, you pay an extra $.30 for deposit. when you recycle, you only get your own money back. thats how the states make money, when people don't recycle.
oh nevermind thats awesome lol

I'm not really that impressed... i mean... I could make one if I was really too fucking lazy to crush a can. Pneumatic actuator, a few pneumatic cylinders, a regulator, compressor, a nifty aluminum piston. :shrug2:

And yes he does look like Kenny from Half Baked.... butter nuts!!!

Pretty sweet, but of course it can crush a can, I wanna see what else it can, or cant smash.

Well, when we recycle, we crush the cans before transporting. They load it into this machine that weighs it and then compacts it.

Right, but is that the same as returning the deposit?

We dont have a deposit here, just scrap aluminum, so its easier to crush them so you can fit more in a bag. Michigan as well as a couple other states have bwteen a 5 and 10 cent deposit on each can, so say in MI a six pack costs $4 well you actually pay $4.60 for it so that when you take the cans back you get your 60 cents back.
