so just because they don't win rally events they are going to stop making a car?

lets compare all of the other manufacturers that win formula 1 and le mans. those aren't even production cars. lol

the car buyers get fucked again. I actually like the evo x, i just can't afford all the cars i would love to own.

mitsubishi doesnt have numbers like most of the other japanese dealers ie. subaru/toyota/nissan.

There's no market for high performance cars unless its a rustang, craparo, or corvette. Something like an Evo or Genesis gets lots of magazine press, but they are lucky to sell 20k/year. Pretty tough to pay for development and design unless you cheap it out (Genesis) or charge a fortune (Evo)

Good. The Evo X looks like a Galant on steroids anyway. I'd hate to see the next iteration.

has nothing to do with rally, has everything to do with selling cars, or more like, not selling cars.

my car isn't cheap.....

far better interior than any honda i've been in, ever.

NO WAY! What are you comparing to? The styling is pretty good, but the assembly was mediocre. IE, it will be a rattle trap down the road. We bench marked one of those. IE beat the shit out of it then took it apart. Doors sounded like tin cans when they shut. The gearbox was trash too. There is a reason they can undercut others in price...

my doors close like my m3 did. even has the window drop to close tight on the frameless setup. maybe the m3 is a tin can too compared to the allmighty new civic

The article says they are selling. Just that Mitsubishi is going a different direction.

No doubt they are selling. Just not enough.

If they were making a lot of money off the car, there's no way they'd scrap it.

Mitsu. I know 1 person in Maryland that has one that is 5 years old or newer. I know a handful of people online who have EVOs but only 1 person that has one in my real life. Happens to be one of our employees. Has a standard lancer.

I can't even think of anyone else not a single friend of a friend that has a mitsu. Not even friends of the family. I know no one that owns one.

Bottom line, they need to do something, not sure about other areas but in MD they suck major ass.

If it wasn't for Mitsubishi having their hands in many other markets from their trucks to tvs I highly doubt it would still be around as only a car company.

My cousin has a 2005ish Lancer GSR she got because she thought it was cute, and a friend got an 07 Lancer Ralliart becuase his daddy bought it for him, and he thought it was Evo fast. And thats IT.

How many people do you know that have 2005 or newer hondas, Toyotas, Chevys, Mazdas, Kias....

Another thing thats weird, I can only think of one Mitsubishi dealership. If you asked me about Chevy dealerships I could name off 5+ locations even after a lot of them closed down. Same for honda, toyota, BMW, Ford...

What's sad is the 1 Mitsubishi dealership I know of isnt even a Mitsubishi dealership, its a Mazda/Mitsubishi dealership that also doubles as a rental place.

Brothers got a '10 Hyundai, friend has an 06' Legacy, another has an 07' Si, friend just picked up a new Maxima, father, uncle, and some cousins have 05+ Chevy trucks, 2 other cousins have newer Dodge trucks... Quite a few I'd say.

you probably don't see it a lot down south, but evo's and stis and wrx's are everywhere up here because they are awd and make a good winter car as well as race car in the summer.

My friend with the Legacy had a WRX (the year right before the STi came to the US.) It was the rare-ish school bus yellow looking color. I wanted that thing bad but couldnt come up with the cash.
