Well first off I would like to say hi I'm new here and that my grammar and spelling is horrible most of the time so try and bare with me I drive 93 cx it's been around to say the least drove across country 6 times been stolen and sat for 2 years I'm in the process of doing a complete tear down and rebuild been getting parts little by little here and there doing suspension first then body and motor around they same time for paint reasons but anyway the main reason for this post is I think I'm going to go against the grain a little bit just to try it out I've done a lot of research but can't find it all I'm going to keep the little d15 block do a mini me with the z6 head I would like to know what kind of pistons I can use cause there is none for the d15 due to the fact that no one wants them just a little info and thoughts would be nice or ideas on this motor build I'm not looking for 500hp or anything
 
No I'm not quiting that has nothing to do with it. Well I got some news I just picked up a d16y8 so I have a cluster of parts and not sure best direction to run with. Being I just got the y8 best choice is to scrap b8. I don't want to sound like a noob. I can't seem to find any info really on which head is better z6 or y8. or is it better to just keep the y8 complete? and does anyone know of a good way to get rid of that oil issue?

the Y8 is a very decent engine as it sits
being that you have a complete one i would stick with that
if it needs to be rebuilt then you can do some upgrades while you are at it... but if it is fine then id just drop that in and drive it

dont let these dickbags beat you up over your posting... it was not that bad... a little punctuation would have gone a long way, but at least you typed it all out and didnt use some form of interweb hood slang garbage like half of the tards on here

welcome to the site and i hope that you will find it useful... people tend to open up and calm the hell down a bit when you become more of a "regular"
 
haha thank you. I was going to tear it down and build it before I put it in. You never know where they have been. am I going to need the axles for it or will the ones on my cx work fine? It's out of a 2000 ex if I remember right. and I'll need the obd1 to obd2 harness also correct?
 
yeah pretty much... or he can use his harness and add the necessary wires
 
So I can keep my harness? Just have to wire up vtec? already have done the 4wire o2 because I had to get a CA ecu when I lived there.
 
IIRC, cx axels are different... I remember bill had issues on his car with the ls axels if i remember correctly. That was almost 10 years ago now, so i may be wrong.
