She has some go to her now. def needs a bigger turbo though. lol The stock one is so damn small, it makes boost at 3500 rpm in 1st gear with like 10% throttle. It's borderline annoying at how responsive it is.

pulls like a bitch though now all the way to redline instead of dying out like it used to at 4500.

+45 hp + 75 lb/ft
+8mpg

give or take.

This is just a canned tune for 'stock' cars, which mine is. Took it out for about an hour and a half and all seems well. fun, and borderline dangerous with traction control off. :)

$695. it's a bit pricey, but when you think about buying an exahust and gaining 5hp, this thing is a bargain.

The best part is that it can be flashed back to stock too so i can bring it in for service/etc without it being 'modded' for any warranty issues.

Thats a hell of a deal when you compare $/hp gain. No other mod can really touch it.

So will the shop switch between flashes pretty cheap for when it comes to take it to the dealer?

No shop needed.

I own the module that goes into the obd2 port. :)

Also has a usb port to place new roms on the unit (stores 3), if someone else is a dealer (there's only like 4 in the us right now and nothing close by)

Currently has
stock
91 oct
93 oct
tunes on it. i'm running the 93 as we have 93 gas here everywhere. if i ever go out west/etc, i can flash down and not worry :)

Nice. Sounds like the stock tune is crazy conservative. I hear they will be dropping in the DI motor from the Sonata soon. Should be interesting to see what kind of gains can be had on those motors.

Any other plans for the car?

The di motor won't fit at all, so if they are going that way, it's going to have to be redesigned. It's like an sr20 from a g20 vs an sr20 from a 240.

DI also leaves basically no room for improvements tuning wise.

The stock tune sucks. its so rich on part throttle and shit on full throttle.

This tune basically maxes out the stock injectors. stage '2' which adds an ic, full exhaust, bumps to 550s. stock rail pressure is a bit high at 55psi and isn't a return system.

*danger to manifold!* [flash flash flash].....SHUT UP!
:D

There isn't a single other car on the market that competes with it at it's price point.

Factor in the flash, and you're at 28k, sticker.

You simply can't buy a car with brembos (biggest sold on any car under 100k at 340mm fronts 4 piston, 300 rears 2 piston) , 19's ,rwd, limited slip, leather where you want it, cloth where you don't seats, bluetooth, homelink, usb/ipod, compass, multiple power outlets, upgraded infiniti sound system with amp/subwoofer (its awesome, really), proximity keyless system for doors and ignition (just keep it in your pocket), sport suspension (it's pretty stiff), some tests have it pulling .94g on skidpads, capable of 30mpg highway, 10 yr 100k warranty, 275hp/340 ft/lbs (take wheel power after flash, up to bhp for sticker purposes and its about those numbers give or take)

Can run on 87 or 93 (even before the flash, computer will adjust automatically and eat 15 hp) so long highway traveling, you can cheap out when 'commuting' and tank up for 'messing around' with the good stuff for the weekend.

The only thing that comes close is the S4. and it's double the price at over 50 grand, and awd, and has crappier brakes. lol

There's no such thing as a 2011 track model with the turbo 4 (v6 only, or the rspec which is stripped down, just brakes & suspension, w/ base interior and base radio, etc), so i have what looks to have a 1-off model with the best/all sport and interior features, which likely will make it worth a bit more than the others down the road for resale.

What is there not to like about it? The 'brand' that you've been on your high horse about? If all you wear is ed hardy, it's not for you.
If you have no problems shopping at kohls, it's a bad ass car, and you can laugh at the tards who spent double, get half the warranty, and a lesser car.

I agree with everything you said. We as a generation have been taught to spend more, buy American, and bigger is better. I think it's a great car and has a niche market. It fits right into where a Nissan Silvia or Mazda rx-7 would/should be.

I have nothing against the car. I think it's a great amount of car for the amount paid. But my first thought, and I'm sure most people agree, even you before you bought it, was "Hyundai, I dunno about that"

yup, and its because i was a snob.

I shop at kohls now. lol

Yup, saw another one on the highway on the way to the shop today. Very nice. I'd consider it if I didn't already have the S2000 and was looking for a sports coupe. I had a Sonata in Cali for a week as a rental, and it did really well. Hyundai's come a LONG way.
