android issue

so i got a new phone...EVO shift, and everyone says you have to get advanced task killer. so i do and everytime i open it theres apps running that ive never opened. how do i make this stop?

Uninstall the app. It's the apps that do this. they always want to run.

but some of them are things i need like voicemail ect...

And if you WANT to GET voicemail, the app needs to be running.

Im with B uninstall ATK and your phone will run a lot better... I did and my phone ran smooth...

Yeah. I found ATK to be more of a nuisance than a help.

If you're running windows do CTRL ALT DEL and you'll see the same thing going on.

I use to run task killer but found that by tweeking basic settings like reducing the time the phone stays lite up from 30 to 15 seconds made a world of difference.

Yea I just realized that

Apps run in RAM it isn't eating clock cycles. In the beginning ATK was a must haveuntil folks realized it smoked thebattery and the phone actually runs slower. I tweaked all the settings on her Evo and it's ran much better.

ATK does make my phone run a bit slower but it's helped my battery life A LOT. I just messed with the settings for ATK and it works fine for me...
