most likely due to the fact that SMS has always been offered as a charge before data was available.

It is not in fact, free. How much do you pay per month for unlimited?
I'm guessing it's a number that will have me instantly saying fuck that.

have you really missed the 75 posts hes made raving about how he switched to virgin mobile and the rest of the fuck contracts blah blah blah for the past several months now???

either way it doesnt matter because virgin uses sprint towers which gives you precisely shit for coverage up in AK

I concur, I think the whole SMS thing is just a hold over from back in the day. I remember when texts where 10 cents a message sending and receiving.

i like your approach to this
i think you can probably get them to alter business practices over this when presented with basic mathematics
file a BBB complaint

this is probably far more costly to American tax payers than gas pump price gouging which they are working on legislation for currently, or maybe that's just NY legislation right now...

mine is free, both sms and data, unlimited. :)

make the switch.
I'm in the same boat as B. Sometimes its good to live in the NYC megaopolis. Had no service when I went to VT, but I was snowboarding anyway. I just shut it off until I was driving back on Sunday. Actually pretty peaceful, haha.

Ugh. 2 HTC Evo with unlimited everything with sprint. Costs me about $124 a month, and that's with a 25% discount for working for CLEAR.

Sprint is still the cheapest though. Get a rom for your Evos and you've got free tethering

I almost feel like im getting screwed on sprint. 2 phones for $175....only additional extra is my wife has an international calling plan that hardly gets used (like 20 bucks extra).

i've got the original moto droid with 450 minutes and unlimited everything else for under 90 a month
get a 20% discount through wifeys work
not too bad considering its my cell and house phone, and mobile internet

verizon indeed
i think it'd be about 110 or 120 without the 20% off pretax
