To all the young kids with fast cars!

+1 for the last comment. We have quite a few fatalities around here, and while tragic - its amazing it doesn't serve as an example to anyone to slow the fuck down or learn when/where/how to drive fast. We've all done dumb shit, but everyone has had (for the most part) an "oh shit" moment when you decided to take it down a few notches.

I think part of the problem are the parents. No one disciplines their kids anymore.

+1. There's no such thing as a responsible teenager, just ones that knew how to work their parents enough to make them think they were responsible.
I disagree.

While I certainly did "stupid" things when i was younger, I was always alert to said danger level.

I NEVER did anything stupid with passengers.

I STILL refuse to drive with some people because I don't trust their skills if a situation should arise.

Hell I had a built turbo civic at 18.

even if he is 18 u have to question the wisdom of the parents here. If that thing had a bunch of work done his parents should have spent the extra money and had their heads examined.
i dunno about you guys but i had to pay for my own cars and any additional work i put in them
i sort of doubt this kids parents gave him the money to put in this car
thats a purely stereotypical view based on the fact that it was sullivan county
cows>people

and judging that its a mustang i bet he did all the work himself in the front lawn of his parents long house
also a completely stereotypical opinion based on area and mustang owners in general

I'm sorry for your loss Ethan :(

That mustang is mangled. I wrecked my 88TII when I was a teenager so I've lived through this, thank God, and have learned from my mistakes. Now if I want to drive fast and recklessly I do it on the track :)
