Remember me if you win because I told you to get a ticket :)

$198 m lump sum = 140 mil roughly take home after taxes.

i question your math on this one
tax should be about 50% but the lump sum thing might affect that

this for ny too?

They could take 212 million for taxes for all I care. I wouldn't know what to do with myself with 100 million. lol

In other words, the IRS likely takes around 40 percent of the money if you win a very large sum, as most people don't have sufficient deductions to bring down their net income below the $380,500 threshold if they win $1 million or more.

plus you got your state to deal with

It's semantics at that point.

I could enjoy the rest of my life in extreme luxury with a 5 mil take home. 10 mil means my kids from my trophy wife also don't have to worry :) anything beyond that = coke & whores and a likely stint on 'the curse of the lottery' on A&E.

I seriously don't want to do that for the rest of my life. lol

I'd love to walk into the bar and buy every single last person in there a drink though. Just to see what that tab is.

anyone ever use the ole atm receipt trick?
it just popped into my head, now i gotta try it
just sit at the bar with some cash and the receipt from your pocket in front of you showing some obscene balance,
figure 100K plus would be sufficient for a nice college girl

would be a real social experiment with me looking as grizzly as i do now

And you certainly don't have to.

You CAN keep your job, your house, your car, and anything else like nothing happened.

It would be pointless, but you can.

Ultiamtely, you need to find something you want to do.

Me, i'd probably buy a lifetime pass to limerock or montecello tracks and just do track days in my ferrarris and porsches for the rest of my life as a job :) maybe get good enough to be an instructor, and just have fun doing what I love doing and no care if i stuff it in turn 2. walk away, and get another one ordered up. :)

And i'm pretty sure he didn't mean ATM like a bank....

yea, lol
i know what he meant, but it just triggered it in my head
pretty sure it was in a movie

stuff it in turn #2 and HOPE you walk away
and fyi, i think monticello track closed over noise complaints or lack of funding or something...

been there - done that. Cost me roughly 180.oo. I had just hit the shake of the day at my local bar to the tune of 500.00 plus dollars and most of they had put some money in the pot at some point.

What were there like 8 people in that bar? The bar I always goes to seats 300+ people and is usually so damn packed on a friday night that you can barely walk around.

nope roughly 80 ish. Bought them all a bottle of beer or a rail mixer. Plus I am a "regular" there so I am assuming they hooked me up with the price. This is also the same place that has a loyality card where if you spend some decent money you get a 1/4 barrel every now and then. Between my buddies and me we have 4 in reserve right now.

you're thinking of something else...

Monticello Motor Club

it's basically a country club for car guys instead of golfers.
nah, thats exactly what i'm thinking of
when i used to go help a buddy out running his shop in monticello we used to drool at the top dollar cars that rolled through, or stayed at the shitty super 8 across the street (not often)
i live all of 30 minutes from there
i guess its still open but i heard something last year about it getting shit down
plus the over 100 individual 100+mph tickets they issued on 17 for people on their way from nyc to the track was raising all sorts of eyebrows
i guess it all got smoothed over

am i the only one who wants to use the money for selfish reason? atm atm atm :lmao:

I would be happy to win 10 million, let alone 140. I've read that a lot of people will hire specialized lawyers to deal with the money and help create LLC's and the like to protect you. Most people agree that claiming it anonymously makes more sense as you don't get family members coming out of the woodwork looking for cash.

I'd do just that. Pay off all my loans, then invest a good deal - most likely in Dunkin Donuts franchises.

B's idea sounds best though. I honestly wouldn't need an MTV cribs-esque McMansion or a phantom with 28's. Give a nice well finished house, a big garage and a large prefab steel building to store my toys. Then spend my days tracking the shit out of whatever I saw fit at Limerock, the Glen, VIR, Monticello and Mosport.
