what are the benefits of straight pipe exhaust setup on a cb7.are there any gains or is it all fa show?

Well, if you're leaving out the cat then you're removing restrictions from your exhaust system, so you may pick up a few horsepower. Overall though, it's just a noise-maker. I wouldn't really recommend it for an Accord. Accords are the bigger, slightly more luxurious brother of the Civic/Integra. I'd recommend you save up some cash and purchase a nice, subtle sounding after-market exhaust system. Something like the Apex'i WS. Or, you could have an exhaust shop build you something with slightly larger than stock piping, but I would still recommend using a resonator and an oval-shaped muffler. That should give you a nice sound...

ive found that on a stock engine, it might be more of a power loss.... and an automatic "pull me over!!!"

Dude, I had a 92 EX with header, cat, then nothing because it was all rusted away. You have no idea of how loud a straight pipe F22a Accord is. My car actually sounded really good compared to a rusted no exhaust d15 civic but the decimal level is insane. The car actually had a smoother power curve with a real exhaust system.
