I wonder to myself "when did I become a sucker?"

I'm at Stew Leonard's, I have no idea what the he'll this place is.
Through the trees I can see "worlds largest", "dairy", "as featured", and "Ripley's" but I'm much too lazy to get out too see what's doing

Why am I here?

More importantly why did I drive 3 hours to get here?

To help a kid out who I've never met...I'm selling a fiberglass trunk for a galant vr4 that I've never used. The kid is from MD, really wanted it, but just couldn't make the full trip so I said fuck it, I'll drive 6 hours round trip just to be a nice guy

I don't need the money, hell I forgot I even had the thing until about a week ago when I noticed it up in the rafters.

So here I am...in Norwalk...at Stew Leonard's...waiting for ANOTHER friggin hour for this kid to show up because he "allegedly" hit some traffic

I, Eric James Hosmer, am a sucker

I wish I had nothing better to do to help random car guys I dont know.
I've helped people out many times by giving away parts. Half the time they don't show up.

Driving 3 hours to meet a guy to give him a part?

bahahah

no way in hell. not unless it's someone I know.

i've driven 3 hours to meet a kid to sell parts. he paid for them on paypal first. talk about incentive to show up.

He showed....now what to do with the $300?

I guess I'll booze it up tonight in providence...

sometimes im too nice and go out of my way to help people out. ive never had it really backfire (knock on wood)

last act of kindness was helping a dude install coilovers on his WRX in exchange for his stock parts. i went to his house (1.5 hr drive) after working a 12 hour shift. luckily he was a nice guy in 30-40's, just didnt know much about car work.

Stew Leonards started in Norwalk, I think. There are 3 or 4 in the state, including one on the Berlin Turnpike.
